Paodok'Draba'Takat, full name Paodok'Draba'Takat Sap'De'Rekti Nik'Linke'Ti' Ki'Vef'Nik'NeSevef'Li'Kek, but most commonly known as Pao, was a male Drabatan who served as a commando in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War, and took part in the Battle of Scarif.Prior to the Battle of Scarif, Corporal Pao carried out a demolitions job on Foerost where he took out a communications tower similar to the one on Scarif. He was killed during the Battle of Scarif, along with the rest of Rogue One.

Another pretty good sculpt and paint job stymied by lack of articulation that makes fighting poses almost impossible. I'm not asking for much - I don't need super articulation, just a couple of elbow joints. Even swivel joints would be enough, just so that action figures can look like they're in action.

'Some highly decorated soldiers in the Red Army who've suffered debilitating mutilation can end up awakening to find themselves interred in robotic shells. Prosthetic Commandos are primarily used as bodyguards for dignitaries and in perimeter defense at missile silos located near the border or in high risk locales. They're a particularly favoured ceremonial figurehead in the Warsaw Pact's elaborate military parades. '

This is my Lego version of Keith Thompson's awesome 'Prosthetic Commando', my favourite drawing from his collection. See the original one here.

Black Ops 1 still the GOAT

I finally finished Zondkar Commando with many varieties of weapons and equipment , worth around 10 Commando name , I took that piece that covered the front of the pelvis and I colored the head with black stripes .

Situated around a mile from Spean Bridge village, it overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle. Unveiled in 1952 by the Queen Mother, it has become one of Scotland's best-known monuments, both as a war memorial and as a tourist attraction offering views of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mòr.

This Droid Commando was created by Wuzzupbob. Right now this is my crown jewel as I had previously worked hard to see this figure come to fruition and Wuzzy did such a great job.

The white is product left over and does wash off but I thought it added some contrast on the figure. The legs and arms move and are a pin mechanism.

As far as offering this figure, I believe Wuzzy is looking into injection to get a fairer price and better product. Most likley in the new year. He is also working on some other SW items that will rival other well known vendors. I am hoping to work with him on a few. :)

A re-visit to the Commando Memorial in Spean Bridge - last visited in 2008

Spean Bridge Commando Memorial, Spean Bridge, Scotland

The Commando Memorial is a Category A listed monument in Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II.

In 1949, the sculptor Scott Sutherland won a competition open to all Scottish sculptors for the commission, The Commando Memorial. Sutherland's design won first prize of £200. The base of the bronze statue is inscribed with the date of 1951. The sculpture was cast in the H.H Martyn and Company's foundry. The memorial was officially unveiled by the Queen Mother on 27 September 1952. The monument was first designated as a listed structure on 5 October 1971, and was upgraded to a Category A listing on 15 August 1996. On 18 November 1993 a further plaque was added to mark the Freedom of Lochaber being given to the Commando Association. On 27 March 2010 a 2 miles (3.2 km) war memorial path was opened connecting two local war memorials, the Commando Memorial, and the former High Bridge built by General Wade, where the first shots were fired in the Jacobite Rising of 1745 in the Highbridge Skirmish [information: Wikipedia ]

THE COMMANDO MEMORIAL - The Memorial commands wonderful views of Ben Nevis, the Grey Corries and the western end of the Great Glen. It was unveiled in 1952 by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and commemorates the elite soldiers of the Commandos who died during the Second World War. Achnacarry, six miles from Spean Bridge, was the Commandos' Basic Training Centre from 1942. Over 25,000 men were trained here and in the surrounding area including British, American, French, Belgian, Norwegian, Polish, German (Jewish) and Dutch troops. With Ben Nevis only an 18 mile run from Achnacarry, reaching the summit was just one of the challenges for a day's training! Many veteran Commandos make the annual pilgrimage to attend the Service of Remembrance and Wreath Laying held at the Memorial in November. At any time, this moving tribute offers a rewarding visit, and spectacular photos are often available, especially at sunset.

Fancied some drybrushing and it came out pretty well! Sadly, the pic begs to differ :( Also because of this pic (www.flickr.com/photos/kalcustoms/8946680812/) so this is kind of for you, KalSkirata ;)

Comments and favourites are always much appreciated ;)

Enjoy!

Never forget to check the ceiling when clearing a room. A rookie mistake this Cobra Trooper won’t make a second time.

I was playing Republic Commando this morning and realized that the Gunship Doors in RC are infinitely cooler than the ones in the movies.

I'm still working out the kinks, but this is more or less what I'm going for.

Ok, when I said I was going to take a break what I really meant was I need some new material and some new shots to work on. Thought I'd head over to Roy Bridge today and sure enough, the weather was dull, grey and promised nothing. A couple of half hearted dismal shots of Loch Ness and a walk around Inverroy and headed home about half three with the light rapidly fading. Just outside of Spean Bridge a glance over to the left and the sun gave us a fleeting show of magic! Just before this I'd commented how it really hadn't been worth the journey...

My custom figure of my clone sigfig in his Commando outfit!

My long awaited BF order arrived today, so I could finally make this fig.

The Royal Marines were formed in the mid 1700s as an infantry branch of the British Navy. Nowadays, they are an elite and highly specialised light infantry unit of commandos who deploy regularly alongside the British Army. The Royal Marines are one of the most elite regiments in the British Armed Forces, on par with the Parachute Regiment and just below the SAS and SBS.

I loved that 1973 Jeep Commando with the 304 cu. inch engine. I learned how to work on cars because it broke down so much.

I wrote about this pic on my blog at www.imakethings.com/2007/03/30/1973-jeep-commando/

Robert's Norton 850 Commando At Bushy Park on 1 July 2013. This is a medium format version of an image I did with a 35mm Contaflex SLR at the same time, which you can find here: www.flickr.com/photos/43224475@N08/37206848154/in/datetaken/

Apart from the obvious comparisons between the formats, the point that struck me comparing both, was how a similar camera location in the same setting shooting the same subject looks somewhat different, due to the viewfinders used on each camera and the resulting height difference.
