Royal Marines of 45 Commando and Swedish Coastal Rangers during a joint Swedish/UK exercise involving raiding a small Swedish island.
Royal Marines of X-Ray Company, 45 Commando and 4 Assault Squadron Royal Marines conducted Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) in Sweden.
Working alongside the Swedish Coastal Rangers (Kustjägarna) from their Berga Naval Base home, X- Ray Company showcased their strengths on the archipelagic Swedish terrain conducting interoperability training, Live Fire Tactical Training and littoral raiding alongside their Swedish partners. This is the first time the Swedish have taken part in BALTOPS as a member of NATO.

I finished these two Commandos a few weeks back but hadn't got round to posting them, so here they are.
Again using Tony Barton's headsculpts, along with DML uniforms and equipment, webbing etc painted. The jerkin was also given a wash with acrylics. The helmet is a hybrid custom job.

Commando Memorial
The Commando Memorial is a Category A listed monument in Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. Situated around a mile from Spean Bridge village, it overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle. Unveiled in 1952 by the Queen Mother, it has become one of the United Kingdom's best-known monuments, both as a war memorial and as a tourist attraction offering views of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mòr.

Royal Marines from 45 Commando RM are pictured during Operation Ptarmigan in the Afghanistan mountains. The troops are lying up in an obersvation position and are deployed as part of the Operation Jacana Taskforce in the region, based at Bagram Airbase. They are deployed into the mountains by chinook helicopters from 27 Squadron RAF and supported by Soldiers from 59 Commando Royal Engineers and 29 Commando Royal Artillery...Please credit Royal Navy
