Standing at my back door one day, I watched the baby squirrel on the ground while Mom stood guard from above. The little one became frightened and ran up to where mom was waiting. She hugged and comforted her baby in such a loving way. The affection and interaction was so heartwarming.

Surrounded by love ,comfort and protection of her family and rabbit friend baby reptilian shapeshifter finally gave in and rested before sleeping Thru the night. Tiny terror gets exhausted chasing her elderly siblings, leaves and never ending rock collecting and trouble making. These wild sea lions were sleeping on a dock in the harbor of Crescent City, California. It was so touching how they would snuggle up and use each other as pillows.

Every once in a while, a new sea lion arrived on the dock and there would be a big commotion with snarling and growling and apparent disagreements - but 30 seconds later they would all be piled up in a harmonious heap like this!

Another archives from the shot: A Ruby-Throated Hummingbird warns off another as it passes by. The vast majority of photos that I take that are not tack sharp are instantly deleted. Sometimes the camera creates a brush painting effect that I cannot explain nor care to learn how to do, or make it stop. Most may not, but I like it!
