I used wire to cut the burr comb off the bottom of the other super. Then I had to squash the bits I didn't cut off, when replacing the super. The bottled honey is from the last inspection, and was recycled.

Description: Comb graves in Cub Cemetery, Overton Co., Tenn.

Date: February 11, 2013

Creator: Dr. Richard Finch

Collection name: Richard C. Finch Folk Graves Digital Photograph Collection

Historical note: Comb graves are a type of covered grave that are often called "tent graves." The length of the grave was covered by rocks or other materials that look like the gabled roof or comb of a building. They were popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is conjectured that these graves were covered to protect them from either weather or animals, or perhaps both. While comb graves can be found in other southern states, the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee has the highest concentration of these types of graves.

Andrew found this cool comb with his camping stuff. I have combed all of the boys with it, but no one had some much fur to give as Gomez.

He loved the comb, biting it, and eating fur if it fell into the battub.

This fur is from his top and his pantaloons only...maybe he will let me do his belly later.
