Spiders are the last on the list of subjects I'd like to study up close, but i saw this one hanging around in front of an autumnal hypericum. Then he suddenly moved - i thought I'd inadvertently scared him, but he'd just caught the fly here... I was lucky enough to capture a series of shots of him wrapping his victim. The autumnal, 'colour-full' background was my icing on top of the cake.

Zooming in might not be so good for those who are squeamish...

"Smile on Saturday" and "Combination of Flora and Fauna"

January 1, 2023 was like a sunny autumn day. This was my first photo after eye surgery but I didn't process it because I was forbidden to work with the computer for two weeks. In the meantime, I forgot about it.

After an unsuccessful search for a butterfly in the meadow, where there are always many of them (the drought and high temperature drove them away), I remembered that I have a lot of pictures of birds that I haven't uploaded to my photo stream.
