Old houses in Kalmar, painted in bright colours.
If you are wondering why the lower parts of the houses aren't included, it's not that I don't understand it would make for a more well-composed shot, but that I wanted to exclude the row of (glaringly modern) parked cars in front of them...

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a purple or pink day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is Colourful hearts.
All the hearts in my picture were made by me. After many, many years of practice, tears and drama, I must admit that now I’m a paper hearts queen. I wish you all a lovely weekend and I hope that my flying colourful hearts will make you smile.

Was riding and struggling going up this huge hill when I saw this and had to stop. Man it was worth the shot but stopping in the middle of a big hill and need to start again YIKES. Happy Day

The Great Gate of Christ's College, Cambridge is one of the college's original buildings. The college was actually founded two times, first in the middle of the 15th century (then under the name God's house) and then again in 1505 by Lady Margaret Beaufort, mother of the then king of England. It is her coat of arms that can be seen over the gate. The gate dates to this time. The paint job (which might very well be inspired by how it would have looked back then) is not.
Morning Glory flower up close, taken late morning in Port Elliot during our road trip to South Australia.
I like this optical illusion, the tubular section of the flower appears more like a solid round object rather than a hollow tube.
