Beautiful golden & red maple leaves at the Blue Mountains.
Autumn coincides with the dropping of leaves from the trees as they go into a winter rest, which is why it's also called fall.
My favourite season.
Saturday evening, warm and quite windless, apparently great circumstances for balloon flights regarding the number that we spotted from the balcony.
The composition of the image is not manipulated in any way, sliding consisted only of contrast and colour changes, and the addition of vignetting and a border.

Ohh, we've gone pink!
This bench is in a really odd place, tucked between an advertising board and a parking bay in town.
It was a boring brown one, then yesterday I noticed it had been painted.
Maybe someone wants people to use it!

In one and a half month from now, a picture like this will no longer be possible in Delft. From February 28, all trains will run underground through a tunnel tube with two tracks. The railway viaduct can then be demolished, and building the second tunnel tube with another two tracks can begin. Completion in 2017. However, the urban development in this area will probably continue until 2020.

I couldn't take my own eyes of this chameleons eyes as they seemed to operate in a very strange way and it looked like they had a deep hole in the centre. I looked them up and it all became clear. Their upper and lower lids are joined, with just the pinhole in the centre for them to see through. Each eye can pivot and focus independently, allowing the reptile to focus on two different objects at the same time. It explained why I was having difficulty working out what they were looking at.

My 52 weeks of 2017 started with moving to our new house and showing a picture of the boxes piled up in the living room. Meanwhile, we have been settled, though still several issues need to be resolved in and around the house; we will see next year...
