Beth R. wore blue for Dress in Blue Day 2012.
"Last year I wore a different blue shirt every day of the month and posted it to Facebook, with a little CRC fact to accompany every picture.
"This year I dyed my hair blue. Mostly in the back, where the CRC was found on my sister’s brain this Christmas, but on the side too, to symbolize that this disease can spread exactly where you don’t want it to be. Every time somebody asks why my hair is blue, they learn all about CRC, the symptoms, that the colonscopy isn’t as bad as they might expect, and that it’s a very preventable disease. It’s been a great positive way to bring up the topic with people."
