This is the team and today is our run day. We got together and raised 5K for the foundation. Our work is not done yet.

Visit my site to learn more about the cause and if you can, come out to cheer us on. Cancers can affect all of us and we should do something to find a cure.

Colon Cancer is something that is very alarming in India & other third world countries.

People assume that there are natural remedies to cure colon cancer. But if there is a cancerious lesion in the body then there is no natural remedies to cure colon cancer.

We have to treat Colon Cancer with a surgery, followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy depending on the stage of the disease.

With natural remedies you can only prevent symptoms not colon cancer.

Alicia Giannasca and her husband Ed wore blue in memory of Alica's mother on Dress in Blue Day 2012.

"Thank you so much for bringing awareness to colon cancer! My mother was diagnosed in late October of 2010 and lost her battle on May 12, 2011. My husband and I are proudly wearing our blue today, and I'm wearing the necklace I had made for my mom to wear to her chemo treatments because I lived so far away and couldn't be there with her. It was a difficult time for our family and it still is, but each day gets easier, especially knowing she's no longer suffering."
