hola....frutti di stagione, sapori indimenticabili invadono le nostre tavole, ma non si può certo dire che siano sempre frutti spontanei.
Siamo circondati da prodotti geneticamente modificati, manipolati all'origine, come del resto quello che ci circonda tutti i giorni, non ce ne rendiamo neanche più conto, ma siamo abitanti di una realtà che sempre più si avvicina a un videogioco dove chi ha il joystick in mano è sempre dall'altra parte dello schermo e noi semplici comparse di uno scenario a volte incomprensibile.
Deve averlo pensato anche un giudice anni fa, e fa pensare il fatto che a distanza di 17 anni si riapra il fascicolo sulla sua barbara uccisione.
L'industria della violenza non è certo per mano delle classi basse, è prevalentemente segnata dalle classi medio alte della nostra società e allora click-boom e il nemico è fatto saltare per aria.
L'impossibilità di perdere la partita permette di usare tutti i trucchi possibili immaginabili, utilizzo di spie asservite alla criminalità, Talpe opportunamente posizionate nei posti chiave, sfrontata e palese collusione con il Potere politico locale e non, e, cosa non da poco, l'indifferenza del popolo.
In questo scenario anni fa, ma non solo, sono stati trucidati servitori dello Stato, quello con la ESSE maiuscola, personaggi reali di una storia che pensavano di cambiare esclusivamente con la loro professionalità e senso della Giustizia.

Ci sono le falangi armate, i volti scavati dalla violenza, una borghesia mafiosa, persone insospettabili che frequentano salotti televisivi e circoli letterari, un'industria potente che fa affari d'oro con appalti pilotati e che manda in Parlamento i propri uomini "d'onore".
Sembra quasi di essere arrivati a quel punto che tante oneste persone profetizzavano come una evoluzione della nostra democrazia da Parlamentare a Mafiosa.....ci siamo arrivati a questo punto?
Non lo so, non so che dire, so però che persone come Paolo Borsellino, Giovanni Falcone e tutte le donne e gli uomini che hanno versato il proprio sangue per la legalità del nostro Paese, meritino più rispetto, magari meno memoria ma più gambe sulle quali portare avanti il loro cammino stroncato brutalmente da un click..boom...

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is modern by Moscow standards, having been completed in 1860. However, it has had bad luck. It was dynamited to rubble in 1931 by the government under the Georgian Stalin and eventually replaced by a public swimming pool in the 1950s under the Ukrainian Khrushchev (The USSR was very cosmopolitan, which wasn't a bad thing for the most part). Following the implosion of the Soviet Union the cathedral was rebuilt under Yeltsin between 1992 and 2000, which was a pretty big achievement, considering construction of the original had taken 40 years (although even that seems pretty rushed). Later it was found that the reconstruction - like everything around the Clinton-supported Yeltsin - was substandard and potentially dangerous due to the collusion of corrupt government officials and dishonest private construction companies. As a result, the cathedral, which I had dearly wanted to visit, was closed for a massive reconstruction of its foundations in the autumn of 2019. It is only a few hundred metres from the Kremlin, but I found it more compelling as a backdrop subject to many of the photos I took in the vicinity.

I met this person when I was visiting Araku Valley as a geologist. It is my experience (gained from my stay with them 10-12 hours a day) that the tribal people in India (possibly every where in the world) are extremely caring about protection of forest. They never cut or harm trees (may be some of us will be surprised to learn this!). They use only the dried up logs as fuel . The menace of deforestation in India is caused by the powerful and strikingly rich wood mafia in collusion with the people who are sons of the GREATER God! It is because of these deforestation, both the animals and the poor tribal people are loosing their habitat. My stupid idea is if complete power is given to these tribal people to protect the forest there is still some hope for saving the beautiful rain forests in India. Otherwise, the mafia-powerful lobby nexus would destroy all our beautiful forests and the poor tribal people will have to take the blame for the sins of others!
Image taken in May, 2012. Long before covid. She was built by the Delta Queen Steamboat Company as the largest river steamboat ever built, 418' long by 89' wide. Powered by a steam engine removed from a 1932 dredging vessel, the Kennedy. She had two diesel electric Z drives and two bow trusters. The Delta Queen Steamboat company filed for bankruptcy after 9-11-2001. The boat was then sold to the Great American Steamboat Co. Her career was a financial nightmare. She endured groundings, a bridge collusion and rock gash. She was scrapped in 2024 in Houma, Louisiana. I'm afraid that the great riverboat era in Cincinnati has ended. The Delta Queen, the Mississippi Queen and the American Queen are all scrapped.
ILARIA ALPI
(Ancona, Italy, 24 May 1961 – Mogadishu, Somalia, 20 March 1994)
Ilaria Alpi was an Italian journalist and TG3 correspondent, known for her courage, determination, and commitment to exposing international crimes. Born in Ancona to a family attentive to culture and justice, she earned a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature and pursued a journalistic career driven by the pursuit of truth.
In the 1990s, she was sent to Somalia, where she investigated complex and dangerous cases of illegal arms and toxic waste trafficking involving multinational corporations, criminal groups, and corrupt local and international actors. Alpi meticulously documented the collusions between economic interests, political corruption, and human rights violations.
On 20 March 1994, while returning from an assignment in Somalia, she was **assassinated in an ambush in Mogadishu**, along with cameraman Miran Hrovatin, by men linked to interests that wanted to bury the truth. Her death drew international attention to the risks of investigative journalism and the necessity of transparency and justice.
Ilaria Alpi gave her life for truth, denouncing what many wanted to hide. Her courage and example continue to inspire journalists and citizens worldwide to defend justice and human rights.

These two Black-backed jackals seem to be teaming up to decide where to find their next meal. Taken during the golden hour by Lake Naivasha.
The North American XB-70A Valkyrie, center of photo, is one of two that was built. It flew at Mach 3, three times the speed of sound. Designed to be a fast, high altitude bomber. By the time they were ready for testing, the USAF decided that they could be shot down by SAM, surface to air, missiles. The second Valkyrie that was built was destroyed in a mid air collusion. The museum's plane was used for testing flights until 1969 when it was donated to the museum.

5:45am to beat the hustle and bustle of tourists, I was hoping for a lovely sunrise.
Eilean Donan Castle, the hub of Jacobean uprisings. In 1719 the castle was bombarded by three English frigates due to its collusion with the Spanish, 300 of their soldiers were housed in the castle and grounds. The Spanish fired canon at a white flagged negotiating tender and were responded to in kind. A later landing party was unopposed and destroyed the castle using 30 barrels of gunpowder left behind. An anticipated invasion force from Spain never arrived. It was rebuilt and opened in 1932.
The Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is a monumental fresco by Michelangelo carried out between the years 1508 and 1512 in the Sistine Chapel, in the Vatican, as the name implies.
In the realization of this grandiloquent work, love and hate competed ... Michelangelo would have done against this work convinced that he was more of a sculptor than a painter. In charge of Pope Julius II, nephew of Pope Sixtus IV, to paint the roof of the chapel, he thought it was a collusion of his rivals to divert him from the work for which he had been called to Rome: the Pope's mausoleum. But, he dedicated himself to the task and did it with such mastery that he practically overshadowed the masterpieces of his predecessors in the company. Some of the pictures I will be sharing are shot at very high ISO values and relatively high shutter speeds for night shooting.
I have been growing increasingly perplexed about the usage of the electronic shutter. Usually, I only rely on it in very low light as it allow the IBIS to shine. The IBIS however also has a negative impact on the mechanical shutter: when shooting between 1/60 to 1/200s, I always get motion blur due to a collusion between the shutter slap and the speed of the stabilization. This is a problem that plagues many modern cameras but is mentioned in nearly no official review.
Using the electronic shutter seemed like the natural solution to this problem, allowing very stable results down to very low shutter speeds. However, it also caused image quality to be affected in terms of color fidelity, noise, dynamic range.
I eventually pushed myself to shoot using the mechanical shutter for the whole day and the results were very impressive! Events at ISO 12800-20000, the results were very convincing.
You gain some, you lose some, everything is eventually a compromise and no technological breakthrough comes without some kind of compromise!
