Lighting for this was a single flash, ungelled, shot through an umbrella. The flash was well above the scene, at camera right, and pointed down at about a 60degree angle. This made sure the cartridges were nicely lit while not reflecting any light off the glass.

A boxwood triptych made in the Netherlands around 1500. Very intricate, it's carved with biblical scenes with the adoration of the Magi in the centre. This is the back of the piece.
Wow, the aloe vera is so tiny in these pictures!
Also pictured: stupid coleus on bottom level, being huge and annoying. I've managed to keep that one small, thank God.
This image belongs to a series of motor vehicle photographs that do not contain owners or people with the vehicles. Therefore, they do not fall completely within the requirement of my 'Family Car' collection.
I thought however that somebody might like to see the rejects.
They have not been cleaned or restored to the extent of the primary collections, and they will not be placed in any Flickr groups.
If any images receive sufficient 'hits', I will consider cleaning them up for a more public release.

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection, a modern art museum on the Grand Canal in the Dorsoduro sestiere of Venice, is housed in the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, an 18th-century palace, which was the home of the American heiress Peggy Guggenheim for three decades. She began displaying her private collection of modern artworks to the public seasonally in 1951. After her death in 1979, it passed to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, which eventually opened the collection year-round.
