playing with long exposures at home in the evening. no remote shutter release, so i had to do this w/ a timer, handheld, aided only by a small pillow to stabilize me and it. getting my head low enough to the ground while keeping the camera tilted up was a challenge.

I'm only missing Summer Sunset cavey in this picture. He's on his way to me right now though. Please also forgive the terrible quality. I'm without a camera right now. I used the SD card that I had for my camera to homebrew my Wii, so I had to order a new one today. I should have my camera running again by the end of the week.
I’ve chosen three pictures of them. I love this style most. Love the heels and purse, in particular. Such classic style will probably be favored in official occasions.

Carol Mooney, a Navy Oceanographic mathjematician, hands a flyer to a Washington Daily News employee September 30, 1969 protesting sexual discrimination in classified ads published in the newspaper.
The three remaining Washington, D.C. daily newspapers—The Post, The Star and the Daily News—all segregated classified ads by sex advertising “Help Men,” “Help Women,” and “Help Men and Women.”
The practice remained a target a women’s advocacy groups attempting to halt discrimination in employment until June 1971 when the D.C. human relations commission reached an agreement with the three newspapers to end the practice.

Not usually considered the most glamorous, the crows are though amongst the most intelligent of our birds, quick to learn and take advantage of opportunities. Above is the Rook and below are included Chough, Jackdaw, Hooded Crow, Magpie, Raven and the Jay. The species missing are Carrion Crow which occurs in small numbers along the east coast and the House Crow a recent arrival to County Cork (though thankfully only one has been seen).
My collection of Atomic-Age dishes. They include Royal China's Blue Heaven pattern and Tickled Pink by Vernon Ware. I also have a retro pyrex 2 cup glass teapot that I found at a thrift store for 86 cents! The hutch was my grandmother's and its from the 50's.
