My favorite fairy tale and one of my favorite stories of all time is Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, so naturally I love to collect illustrated versions of the story. These are the majority of them but there's also ones I have in fairy tale compilation books and of course the Disney versions I've collected but I included only those that feature the mermaid in the cover. I have a huge passion for the story, mainly because it is a deep and very emotional story and I think everyone should read it in their life time. I am especially fascinated by its illustrations and different artistic takes on the scenes and the Little Mermaid. Most of the time she is represented as blonde, as I imagine her, but she's also depicted with different hair colors, like black, and of course red, especially after a certain famous film version popularized it. A lot of these i was able to read in my childhood, and some of them were able to survive it and some of them I just stumble upon like in thrift stores or online. I am quite picky when it comes to the versions I add to my collection and some are even from other countries. I have learned to literally not judge a book by its cover considering that some of the books with the most boring or ugly covers end up having the best illustrations and vice versa. Some of my favorites are the ones illustrated by Charles Santore, Christian Birmingham, and Rachel Isadora. I hope that one day I can illustrate this wonderful story, original ending and all. I think my collection is complete for now but I don't know if it will ever stop growing.
Without question, the BEST Mattel aurora doll out right now. She is so pretty! Her hair is a beautiful Saran. Her outfit is constructed beautifully, and made with wonderful fabrics! She can't bend her legs, but she is sturdy!:)
first it was just a new shadowbox for some small Halloween items. Then a second shadowbox, then a book shelf and now it's ESCAPING FROM IT'S CORNER. I am powerless to stop it.

What's interesting to me is not the fact that this is a beautiful collection of seashells found on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico in southwestern Florida... but the processing technique I tried on this image. I used Silver Efex Pro (a Photoshop plugin from the Google Nik Collection, which incidentally is free) to render the image in monochrome and then I changed the blending mode of the layer in Photoshop to Luminosity. The results look much sharper and more beautifully saturated.

The hôtel de la Marine (also known as the hôtel du Garde-Meuble) is an historic building located on place de la Concorde in Paris, to the east of rue Royale. It was designed and built between 1757 and 1774 by the architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel, on the newly created square first called Place Louis XV. The identical building to its west, constructed at the same time, now houses the hôtel de Crillon and the Automobile Club of France.
The Hôtel de la Marine was originally the home of the royal Garde-Meuble, the office managing the furnishing of all royal properties. Following the French Revolution it became the Ministry of the French Navy, which occupied it until 2015. It was entirely renovated between 2015 and 2021.
It now displays the restored 18th century apartments of Marc-Antoine Thierry de Ville-d'Avray, the King's Intendant of the Garde-Meuble, as well the salons and chambers later used by the French Navy.
A separate part displays the Al Thani Collection presenting international and inter-cultural works of art from the collection of Sheik Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani.

These film boxes carrying the name Kodak come from a factory in Köpenick (situated near Berlin , Germany) .
Kodak started photographic film production there in 1927 .
During World War II the plant was confiscated by the Nazi administration . After the war , Köpenick came to lie in what was to become the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) . Film production restarted , still with the "Kodak" name , but not monitored by the official Kodak Company that had its own plant in West Germany , in Stuttgart. It lasted until 1956 that the name of the factory was dropped .
{ Little Ditzies longs to hold onto those Summer Days! So here is a little splash of fun with a swig of bright colors to capture the playfulness of those warm days were we just need to hit the beach, dip out toes into the sand and boogie board on a few waves!

Lego's four Bane releases along with Christo's Dark Knight version. The detailing on Christo's figure really puts the Lego release to shame.
My 80s Barbie Collection! I love the 80s barbie dolls soo much! the 80s barbie is better than the new barbie dolls. much better! but i like the new dolls too. I have the Dream Kitchen too.
My favorite is the perfume pretty barbie and the dream glow barbie! but i love the beauty secrets barbie too and the day to night barbie! but, i love too the.. oh my god, no, i love all, haha! who´s your favorite? :)
