5 & 12-Line Grecian X Condensed (No Mark). Note: Allen & Bill were the only companies that cut the question mark in that era and they ended in 1852 and 1853, respectively. It wasn't until the last decade of that century that M&W re-issued it.
Can't believe how many MHS I have? -Rochelle Gargoyle, Chariclo Araghtone Cupid,
Skelita Calaveras, Catrine DeMew, Operetta, Lagoona Blue, Cleo De Nile, Draculaura
These were done for an assignment. The theme was collections, and I thought I would go with my paint brush collection. I think it's cool and different.

Inamorata Obiage Collection consists of 6 silk robes hand stitched from antique obiage kimono accessories. All the robes were reserved last week, but the two tanned OOAK dolls modelling the mauve and ombre robes are for sale. Email me if interested (emiliacouture@gmail.com).
*Obiage (帯揚げ, "obi bustle") is a scarf-like length of cloth worn above the obi. Though it functions as decoration, it may also function to cover the obimakura (pillow like padding) and keep the upper part of the obi knot in place. The obiage can be worn by women at any age, with it being custom to show more of the obiage the younger one is. It can be decorated in a variety of different ways, and is commonly dyed using the the kanoko shibori knot dye technique. Obiage date back to Edo period and were worn by geisha and maiko. In away obiage is considered an undergarment, and it's beauty is mostly hidden. The amount of this pop of colour shown indicates marital status of the wearer and showing more is seen as kind of risqué. Making a robe out of this feels sensuous and I love to show the craftsmanship of the texture in all its glory.

Design books in the Special Collection. You can see that some of these books are in need of tender handling.
The first pieces from my brand new jewellery collection.
Each piece is enitirely hand pierced and finished, and made from solid sterling silver.
These product photographs have been beautifully styled by Abigail Percy, my most talented silversmithing teacher. Thanks to her tutelage, I have been able to put together a collection of fabulously finished, whimsical jewellery that, just like my bags, i'm really proud of.
I'm still creating model kits! Just still kinda burned out. Plus this super cold weather makes it hard to concentrate on building.
Anyways. This is from the animators collection. Which is a very good looking line up and another step up for Disney's toy division!
I really like this bump in visual quality i'm seeing from them lately.
I'm also getting Ariel, Pocahontas, and the sisters from Frozen! But that wil be a good ways off. As I need to curb my spending!

Worked with a guy recently who had the coolest toy collection. Couldn't resist snapping a few shots. Make people think this is part of MY collection. I am envious.

The tripleheader has arrived at Orangeville; quite late but still hundreds were waiting. A sea of people. Check out those cars! Remember it is 1960. The Chief of Police said there were more people than when the soldiers came home from the War! Seeing the crowd I immediately cancelled a planned runpast for fear of injuries. A brass band greeted the passengers and after a brief ceremony the crew set about turning the train for the return trip. The train was first split to spot the diner at the station (the train arrived one track over) to water it since the hose was not long enough to reach. This delayed remarshalling the train which required moving the baggage car to the other end and the two wooden SUF (Steel Under Frame) coaches to the rear since they could not be marshaled ahead of steel cars. The CPR had wanted to run the engines and baggage car to turn on the wye at Fraxa (and charge more to do so!). They said the turntable was out of order. I didn’t believe that so, I went to Orangeville to prove it was still serviceable. I refused because I did not want to leave people with nothing to look at while this was being done. I won. My train! The engines were turned, coaled and watered one at a time giving the onlookers a free show. - Raymond L. Kennedy

I found my old stamp collection the other week and thought I could perhaps come up with something for a Still Life. I pulled an assortment of Great British stamps out of the album and glued them to a piece of A3 card and started clicking away. I then took a copy of the chosen image and turned it into a sphere and added it over the original image. Using another image, I selected the Queen's head and added it to the top right hand corner. Then using text, I added the 43p in the top left hand corner. Finally, I put the stamp edge effect round my stamp design.
