In February 2017, Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda returned to the place of his incarnation and childhood: the beautiful island of Mauritius. During this trip, Swamiji gave five darshans, spent precious time with devotees, initiated a new Swamini into the Bhakti Marga order, and much more.

Have enjoyed adding some more uglies to my collection. Some of the ones in this photo have been with me since I bought them.in the 1960's
I can't seem to part with this. I just looked through most of the reels and only found a few that *really* made me smile. I looked on eBay the other day...these things won't bring much. Especially the ones I don't have folders for. I don't have a lid for the pale either...Its all in bad shape, except the reels themselves.

Visitor displays sunstones found at the Sunstone Collection Area, Oct. 16, 2017, by Greg Shine, BLM.
The Oregon Sunstone Public Collection Area allows visitors to enjoy collecting these rare and beautiful gems in their natural setting. The boundaries of the collection area are marked by orange plastic posts and corners are marked with large Bureau of Land Management triangles on wooden posts. Sunstone is located in the remote Rabbit Basin and due to its isolated location rock hounds visiting the area should be well prepared.
The only facilities available at the site are a vault toilet, picnic tables, and shade structures. You are welcome to camp anywhere within the Sunstone Collection Area. There is no fee for collecting sunstones, but you may not collect for trade or commercial purposes.

My music collection. Yeah, I still buy CDs. Missing from this are my boxed sets, the numerous albums that don't fit, and the Blacktail album with styrofoam on it ("Styrofoam Island", get it?).

I have to admit, one of my favorite things about living on my own is having unchecked authority over what happens on my refrigerator.
Here are some various pogs from my collection. I really like the the two Star Wars pogs at the very bottom.

Over the past couple of years, I've been pretty lucky with finding film and film cameras in thrift stores. Last week I bought a second Precious Moments Micro 110 Camera in the original box. I'd actually spotted it a few weeks before, priced at $3.99...more than I was willing to pay. The first had cost only $0.99. Two weeks ago, I bought a different camera (a Minolta 35mm with a roll of film inside and a working battery) at the same store for $3.99 and brought the Precious Moments item up to the cashier with me and pointed out the absurd price on it and said I wasn't going to buy it, but would buy the Minolta. The next week the Precious Moments camera was down to a reasonable $0.99 and I bought it.
Having two of them led me to investigate how much 110 film I'd acquired over the same time. As you can see, I've found a fair bit...16 rolls in all. All of it well expired and improperly stored.
There's a project in here somewhere, but I haven't quite figured out what that is. I do know it should be a cooperative effort with another photographer. Let me know if you have any bright ideas.
