This is my most recent picture of my robot collection. I has grown since this. I have to take new pic. But for now this has to do.

My Scenes, Beauty Cuties, Licca, Ddung, Blythes, Countess Bathory, Bethany Bled in the iron maiden, a Kurhn and her clone, Liv as Alice make up this shelf.

These are all the lego super hero figures I have collected this year 2014.

My Starscream Collection as of July 27th, 2008.

Cultured bird me. That is The Laughing Cavalier behind me: insert your own joke.

There were three shelves of these silly China bells, a lifetimes collection. I like to think someone in the family or a friend kept one for memories sake but I know better.

The photos are grainy because the light isn't great. I'm going to have to do something about the lighting to do diorama photos in there. If I wait until daytime, I can take the coverings off the windows and get slightly better shots. My daughter made those years ago. You can see them in the before and after shot. On the right side, they're different colors. I'm not sure what I'll do for window coverings yet. I don't know whether this arrangement will stay or not, but I'm happy with the dolls in boxes where they are for the most part. I brought some other dolls in, and my Sideshow and Hot Toys figures, but I don't have enough doll stands for any others. For now, the furniture will stay here, but I will have some tall shelves on the opposite side of the room, so they may move there. The vintage canisters will probably be for clothes and some diorama accessories storage.

I worked on these over the weekend, I'm really pleased how they turned out.

I'm taking inventory of my Skipper collection today. Sorry for the poor quality of the snapshots, but I don't want to take the time to take and photoshop portraits of them all today.

Well, here's what I'm keeping - logo bricks & quadrates. I have a blue quadrate heading my way, hence the gap.

The red bricks on the bottom-right represent other types of Bayers (7xC, 8xf, etc). I figured I'd at least keep one of each.

Love the old Speedball brayer box and paint tubes. The graphics and type on this old packaging inspires me in my studio.

Visit on June 9, 2014 to Jerry's collection in Canton, Michigan, a small city that lies in the northwest corner of Wayne County. Jerry has a terrific collection of classic cars, both original and nicely restored.

Somerset Collection is a massive luxury mall in Troy, Michigan. The mall is a sprawling 1,443,000 square feet and has two sections (north and south). About 90 percent of the tenants in the mall appear to be higher-end, but there are some middle-end stores like just about every other mall has. The mall is currently anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Crate & Barrel, Nordstrom, and Macy's.

The one anchor store that seems odd here is Macy's. It seems a little low-end for this mall; I wonder why they didn't put a Bloomingdale's here instead. I laughed when someone with a lot of money told me they though of Macy's as a discount store. I can see how Macy's would be considered "discount" after walking around this mall....

In 1967, Saks built a Saks Fifth Avenue store on the property. A single story enclosed luxury mall (Somerset Mall) was built attached to the store in 1969. Bonwit Teller was added as an anchor then. Both Bonwit Teller and Saks Fifth Avenue remodeled plus expanded over the years. In 1990, Bonwit Teller went bankrupt and shuttered all of their stores.

In 1992, the mall was reconstructed as a two-story mall and added Neiman Marcus as an anchor store. Neiman Marcus demolished and rebuilt on the site of Bonwit Teller. The new mall was called Somerset Collection. In 1996, a north side to the mall was built on the other side of Big Beaver Road. This other side of the mall is connected to the south side with a moving sidewalk over the road (skywalk). The three story north expansion brought Nordstom and Hudson's (later Marshall Field's, now Macy's) as anchor stores.

The south side of the mall has 524,700 square feet of space and the north side has 918,300 square feet of space. The mall appeared to have around a 100% occupency rate on my visit. The only stores I noticed not open were under construction to be turned into other stores. A couple retailers have more than one location in the mall, Aveda and Starbucks (full Starbucks locations, not kiosks) both have two locations inside the mall. Also, I noticed brands like Burberry, Gucci, Louis Vuitton had full stores in the mall as well as salespaces in other anchor stores (such as Saks Fifth Avenue).

Forbes Company owns this mall. Forbes also bought the former Kmart Headquarters building across the street to block another developer that wanted to build a new shopping center and swipe some stores from Somerset Collection. Nothing appears to be happing with the old Kmart Headquarters building...

To the right of my computer, on desktops and portable tables, are some of my other dolls. Since my last post of this view, the Oscar Diggs dolls have been replaced by Cinderella Wedding Dolls (2011 and 2013 versions). Nearest the camera are Britto figures of Disney Princesses and Dwarfs. On their left is a 7'' Raincoat Coraline bendy doll and a 10'' Replica Coraline Ragdoll. On top of the boxed Our Family Tree 10'' Alice in Wonderland doll is a Alice in Wonderland Charm Bracelet Watch. On top of the Designer Tiana doll are 3'' and 1.5'' Vinylmation figures for Brave and Oz. Other items include Tinker Bell dolls, figures and snowglobe, Alice snowglobe, LE Merida and Elinor dolls, and 17'' LE Tiana dolls. Also are a couple of images of China Girl from Oz, one on my computer screen, and a printed image of the China Girl cutout figure.

This is part of my usual 'trip prep'… the crazy stuff I do as I prepare for a 'big' trip.

One of the most important trip prep is deciding what art supplies I will take…and since I was testing all my pens out last month using the smoth paper of Zeta I thought I would try them all on a rougher surface and see how they go.

I am like the green sailor pen a lot… though wish it flowed better when I use the pen at rapid speed.

I did this page on the train so it is a little rough!
