“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.”
― Oscar Wilde
What is it that causes us to cherish material items like we do? Why do we value gold, silver, jewels? They don't provide nourishment or quench our thirst or provide shelter or comfort. Is it because they represent wealth and are scarce so only those with enough money can own them?
Ho visto che questo libro, 'Tramonti', esposto su uno scaffale del Piccoloblu' di Campiglia ( SP ), è di un fotografo spezzino che ha fatto parecchie pubblicazioni, e che mi sembra davvero bravo

"Re Post" Bad Upload. Highlight Blooms Blew out.
I've shot this place behind the food lion in town before but used a 35mm and wasnt totally thrilled with the results and wanted to go back to use a 50. Its about the size of an old Kmart and just full of stuff of all kinds. It used to be a textile mill, Upholstery shop and other things. Now its for collecting .
I was out with a photographer friend yesterday and mentioned it since we were heading towards town and she said yeah lets check it out.
I got out and set up the tripod, release, CPL and focus and I hear someone coming out of the back. He looks at me says, " There must be better things to shoot than the junk in there". I disagreed and said the beauty of decay is underrated sir. He then laughed and agreed and told me about his father who was a photographer way back when he was a kid. So he told me a bout how good his father was and wished he pursued it more.
Turns out his son owns the building and just sold it , its scheduled for demolition soon he told me so I asked him if he would mind posing downstairs since he was part of its history, he agreed.
This is Tim down below ,shot through a broken out window on the right side. What you see hanging is the roof falling in , hence the light from above and the hot spots everywhere. The CPL was about no match for those but they work with it I think.. Thank you to Tim and Joyce!

UP 4013 and a BNSF motor team up collecting grain along the CP Detroit Lakes Subdivision. Its current train has loaded grain from CHS in Hazel south of Thief River Falls. The detector near Plummer found a problem mid-train, so it suffered a delay immediately after getting underway. It is seen here south of Brooks.

Unfortunately I made a beginners mistake setting a wrong - too short - exposure but managed to somewhat recover from the resulting noise in post-processing.

Been a long time (once again). Here are my collectible DC minifigs as of now, I missed out on Superboy and Lightning Lad, as well as Batzarro and i'm probably not gonna get Pirate Batman. But we'll see, my wallet may be expanding soon enough.
