here's one of my shots for the Holga Singapore Tour, where 25 random lomographers are given a chance to represent their neighbourhood - Holga Style!

this was only my second time shooting a Holga, and using Velvia for the first time - so the exposures were unexpected.

this photo was supposed to show the "Holland Village Shopping Centre" logo - a 24hr grocery store - -

After running into a curing issue where the riser scrap meets the model, I gave this print additional curing time. You could probably set the model on longer supports but this print used the maximum volume area in the printer -- cannot get taller than this.

A walk-in combination with an open door.

A cooler freezer walk-in combo with an interesting layout.

Parika, Georgetown, Guyana - Robbie runs the the Whistle Wild Meat Place in Parika, where he sells all kinds of wild meat with a reputation for the best. His Dad ran the store before him. He is seen with fridges full of wild deer, capybara, peccary and other wild meat. He has a picture card system for customers of the wild meat available. Robbie says he used to sell as far away as Trinidad but since the financial crisis, much of that market has dried up. He adds that he used to be supplied by a soldier who had access to areas without many people and plenty animals. That man used to bring him over 400 kgs of meat on occasion. Robbie adds that wild meat is a status purchase for many people, and something to be shared socially. It is sold out of people's homes as well as at certain restaurants in Guyana. ìI think there are less animals now than before, with the mining in these areas, there is a lot of hunting to feed the miners. There needs to be more legislation and protection as a result. You have to go much further to hunt now and that is much more expensive.
