I found this snowy scene so pretty in this little neighborhood park (Fauntleroy Community park), in Seattle.
The heavy snow-covered chains at the Philadelphia Navy Shipyard's old Marine Railway led into a black doorway in a building.
It was only when I got home and started processing the shots that I noticed that the metal plate and framing in the building had facial features. I brightened it up a bit in photoshop to make it more apparent. Very cool!!
2 more shots from my Scotland trip @ end of May. Saw this one on it's own at side of road in middle of nowhere, just thought it looked as cold as I was!

cold spring is a great place relax all year round. it is a one-hour scenic Metro-North train ride from New York City. there are antique shops filled with collectibles. they have specialty shops with whimsical gifts, accessories and etc. they have riverfront parks and mountain to hike if you are a nature lover. it is also a great place to kayak and row! =D
Waves crash over the ice glazed rocks on the New Hampshire coast as Whaleback Light stands amidst the sea smoke on the surface of the frigid ocean.
This winter scene was captured in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada at the home of my friends Jeff and Susan.

An image made at Sutton Lodge Farm near Palterton, this place is a real hidden local gem and a favourite place of mine to make images at all times of the year. I love the abandonned and derelict feel of the place, in a way it's such a shame although the farmer clearly uses it for storing manure.
I'd been planning this shoot almost two years waiting for enough snow but not too much to make the lane inaccessible, I fell lucky over the weekend although with the snow last night it would not of been possible today as the lane was tricky enough when I visited.
Although it is a fairly monochrome image given the reduced palet based on the weather the is the first 'colour' image I've posted in a good while, I do have the black & white monochrome version and I'm not sure if I actually have a preference for that one.
A cold front arrives over Sydney.
It was 8 degrees F this morning. After the winter we've had, it's doesn't seem all that extreme, but it's extreme for a "normal" winter. This was my first shot and I over exposed it because I keep my camera on manual and always forget to check the light settings before I shoot! But it washed out the background and I decided I liked it. Sometimes our mistakes come out the best! Plus the thermometer is extremely dirty. (It's outside a window.) So it's an extremely exposed photo of an extremely dirty thermometer showing an extremely cold temperature!
