Had an English speech contest in Gimhae today... so had to grab lunch on the run at the 7-11. I LOVE these tuna triangle kimbaps... (seaweed, rice and then tuna/mayo filling) washed down with Coke Zero ;)
The packaging is so ingenious... just follow the 1, 2 & 3 on the corners and you slide off the wrapper that is actually inbetween the seaweed and rice. It keeps the seaweed from going soggy when in contact with the rice.
A 70 cent feat of engineering! Pythagoras would be proud!
Shore Line East GP40-2H # 6698 departs Wallingford, CT in its "Coke Zero" deemed livery. This weekend would be the last of the diesel/mafersa push pull sets on corridor as SLE makes the transition to fully electric EMU Kawasaki M8s. The last time I saw an SLE was 2014 with a patched P40, and managed to see another one earlier on this day.
One shot, 15 sec, flash to highlight the can, after the flash has gone, I went behind the can and did the light painting.. Not much editing, just removed the glass (for the reflection) on the right side of the image, levels and sharpening..

Back when I took a trip in the summer of "22 to Connecticut, I caught a bunch of Shore Line East/CT Rail action. This particular weekend was the last weekend diesel sets would be running under wire on the Northeast Corridor. Soon, Kawasaki EMU M8 railcars would provide more efficient service for the electrified portion of the territory. Pictured here is GP40-3H # 6699 (nice) in "coke zero" livery pulling 3 Mafersa coaches into Old Saybrook station. It's a mini 3 car set pulled buy a soda diesel as I like to call it.
As the sun begins to set over New England, Shore Line East GP40-2H # 6699 pulls into Branford, Connecticut. Shortly after, the locomotive was shut down and failed to restart. After a second attempt, the locomotive restarted and was eventually underway. This again would be the last time I would see SLE run their diesel push-pull sets under wires, as they transition to electric EMU Kawasaki M8s.

I captured the first fight between newlyweds Jackson and Heidi during Jackson's birthday. This had something to do with him drinking too much Coke Zero, which happened to be one of his birthday gifs.

A bit of product photography for today. I am still learning lighting so quite happy with this although I know it is not 100%.
Lately I've had a thing for Coke so I picked up the Coke Zero yesterday but decided I should take a shot of it in the now before enjoying it. Kind of fitting with the Winter Olympics going on and the shot brought to mind a Flickerstick song Coke.

I shot this for the Macro Mondays group theme of Diversity: 28/02/2011.
The abstract theme this week had me thinking for a while, until I realised I had the perfect subject matter sitting in my kitchen! Don't worry - I didn't have to drink this lot in order to get them!
A few weeks ago I asked the very nice people at my local pub if they could keep some bottle tops for me. They said yes, and I ended up collecting a bag containing over one hundred tops from them!
I thought that picking out individual tops that represented soft drinks, mixers, alcopops, beer, lager, ale, et al, and arranging them into a pattern would make a good illustration of the theme! I think it works!

Bikes from Dublin's bicycle sharing scheme dublinbikes. It doesn't have quite the same ring to it as Boris Bikes but the baskets on the front are rather quaint.
It's funny how many advertising slogans can be applied to the murky world of drugs if you're so inclined. For today's instalment in a series we're imaginatively calling 'badvertising' we've gone for Coke Zero and the classic 'Taste the feeling' tagline. We could have just have easily used 'real Coke taste and zero calories' but preferred the classic tagline as it's a little more descriptive.
Anyway, today's piece is on my current canvas of choice, namely wood, and using my current favoured technique of laser engraving. Plus, just a little bit of white paint pen just to accentuate the obvious. Drop us a line if you're interested...
Cheers

I like how you pass by something and do a double take. That's what happened this evening when we walked in the kitchen after coming in from dog walking: a glass yet to hit the dishwasher. Coke Zero, for those who are taking notes.
When the kids were younger this stuff was banned in the house
Now they are teenagers I have to allow them to make their own choices - and to be fair they don't often buy it, but they had a party.

First of all: Do not try this at home! All stunts were supervised by a professional stunt coordinator. No Danbos were harmed during the shot of this photo!
Today the Danbos were inspired by a video they saw on YouTube. There some guys put mentos into Coke bottles and shortly after the bottles busted. So the Danbos thought they could use that another way. They built a little starting ramp. Mini fastened his... well... seatbelts and Danbo opened the bottle and dropped in one of the mentos. Just a blink of an eye later Mini was shot into the air. We really had to walk an impressive far way to get back to him and check if everything was okay. All went fine and now Mini can say he was already flying!
