A Union Pacific unit train of coil steel from Geneva Works has crested the 4,812 ft. summit at Mount (Point of the Mountain) south of Draper, Utah. Twin Peaks and Lone Peak of the Wasatch Range loom above the train, on the east side of the hazy Salt Lake Valley.
Leading the charge is one of UP's 37 SD45s equipped with Locotrol (RCS), a technology used for radio remote control operations.
my Passion Flower plant that I brought inside for the winter is doing great.... I also clipped many tendrils off and started to root them to add to the pot...
A macro view of the five metal coils at the end of a mini bungee cord and their reflection, taken for the Macro Mondays group theme, "Five." The frame represents a span of one-inch across.
Strobist/technical info:
The scene was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights and small steady LED background lights. The SB900s were positioned 90° CL/CR, one-foot above and two-feet away from the bungee cord. They were fired in Manual mode @ ⅛ (CL) and ⅛ -0.3EV (CR) power through Neewer 24" x 24" soft boxes. The background LEDs were exposed for 1/13 s.
The speedlights were triggered by three PocketWizard Plus X flash triggers.
Lens: Vega 11U f2.8 50mm with 20mm + 12mm extension tubes attached.

66197 heaves a train load of steel coils along the Up Derby Fast at Washwood Heath five minutes prior to sunrise on an already warm July morning. The final pre-dawn shot from the bridge as in a few hours time concrete barriers and a high fence were put in place prior to its demolition and 6M94 Margam to Corby would never be captured from this point again.

This sterling silver bangle was inspired by a bronze arm ring from the Central European Bronze Age, which was around the 13th century B.C. The original one was made with round wire, while this one is 3mm square.
Just been trawling my outtakes from Macro Monday's and came across this one, it's the cable for my LED ring light, found it more interesting than whatever subject I was shooting!

I found this male Adder coiled in the undergrowth recently. Although it looks as I was close this was shot at distance with a 500mm lens.

66007 takes the Coleshill line at Water Orton East Junction with 6M96 Margam to Corby, the afternoon coils.
An Indiana Harbor Belt train of steel coils, having just departed Cleveland-Cliffs' nearby Riverdale Mill, passes through Dolton under heavy cloud cover.
At the far end, a nicely-decorated caboose (previously posted) leads the reverse move home to Blue Island.
In some of the Southside neighborhoods surrounding Dolton, it would not have surprised me in the slightest to see some of the characters from Shameless walk by.
