coffee beans and so called basket shells [probably Corbicula fluminea] ... these are tiny freshwater bivalve I found on the shore of Lake Constance in May 2022. They are about the size of a fingernail (at max) and the stripes are of the colour of strong coffee ☕ ... I haven't tried yet how they taste with my coffee though ; ))

I am a tea drinker, but usually 1 maybe two a day. I love the taste of coffee but it cleans me out. We don't need that.

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday

CRAZY TUESDAY

Theme : "COFFEE OR TEA"

This teacup and saucer is from my husband’s mother’s collection of cups from around the globe. Her friends at the hospital would travel and bring her a cup and saucer from their trip. I’m not sure if it’s from Japan or China. There’s 2 marks on the bottom of the saucer, one of which looks like this ((. The numbers 225 or 220. It’s so difficult to tell.

Our local park now has a new café, staffed by volunteers, so today we went to take a look.

Mine was my usual decaff coffee accompanied by a white chocolate and blackcurrant flapjack.

Posting for Smile on Saturday: coffee or tea?

I shall resume my low-sugar diet at the weekend....................

Coffee or tea ? There is a clear answer for me, and that’s coffee! 😋

I normally drink it without sugar and milk, but for this photo I activated my milk frother once again. I also had to hurry to take the photo because this biscuit figure lost its leg in the coffee! 😅

The History of Green Tea

The history of green tea dates back over 4,000 years to China, where it is considered a precious beverage and a symbol of harmony between man and nature. After developing in China, green tea spread throughout Asia and the rest of the world.

Green tea gets its name from the preparation method used to prevent the tea leaves from undergoing excessive oxidation. Typically, the leaves are hand-picked and then quickly heated to stop the oxidation process. This is what keeps their natural green color and preserves the health benefits of green tea.

Many thanks for your much appreciated favorites and comments.

For tea we bought a mint plant. With rosemary it is a tasty tea in the evening.

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

Created for Crazy Tuesday - "Coffee or Tea"

Smile on Saturday theme Coffee or Tea. My new tea pot. Chamomile tea.

Each morning, I prepare the coffee with care, letting its rich aroma fill the air and gently rise from the fine porcelain cup. I begin by pouring hot water in precise circles, watching as the delicate foam forms—a quiet promise of indulgence for the soul.

This simple yet enchanting ritual offers me a moment of profound tranquility, an escape from the rush of daily life. Each movement and every sip draws me closer to the calm of the day ahead.

...The more you have, the more you... (cue scratched-record sound effect).

The thing worth tooting about is that, besides being a stimulant good for keeping you awake and giving the shakes, coffee has been reported to contribute to heart health. Of course, this applies to black coffee only (sorry, no cream, sugar, or twenty-word-long espresso drink orders), and the four-year-old report I linked to is subject to change upon new research.

As for the dark roast beans in the picture, the caffeine content is slightly lower than that of lighter roasts. It seems counterintuitive, maybe, but it's a byproduct of the roasting process.

I dislike coffee but I loooove the smell of it. Tea is more of my go to beverage on a cold and snowy day (like it is today!) Stay warm, my friends!

Thanks for your visit! HSoS!
