Taking a much needed break while shopping on the snowy day

Further to coffee break I. Two very different ways of taking a break for a coffee.

There are the many brewing styles now: Dip Brew, Pour Over, Cold Brew, Espresso, Ristretto. Then you have to decide on Espresso or Double Espresso or Red Eye or Black Eye, Americano, Long Black, Macchiato or Long Macchiato, Cortado, Breve, Cappuccino, Flat White, Cafe Latte, Mocha, Vienna, Affogato (does it include a goat?), Cafe au Lait and Iced Coffee.

So you now have great choices but would you like whole milk, skinny milk, soya, almond, coconut, syrups, whipped cream, chocolate, marsh mallows, sprinkles, smarties or after Eight Mints.

I am currently wondering what happened to a simple cup of coffee, when did it get so complicated?

#CoffeeBreak

The Covid-19 crisis is helping to shine a light on both the pleasures and pressures of having your home as your office.

You are at home so there will be a myriad of distractions that you are faced with including:

The Doorbell/Deliveries

The Washing

The Kids

The Fridge

The TV

Social Media

The Partner

Let us accept that some of these distractions can be prevented and some cannot, the distractions are a reality as long as they are not taking over the whole working day.

I have not yet put away my holiday decorations. the theme for today's We're Here is Mugshot. Two years ago I made Christmas mugshots of my family for my holiday card. And I had the mugshots printed on mugs, so now we each have our own! Handy to use in this photo.

Subject

A shiny stainless steel cafietera in the foreground. An old aluminum one, retired, behind.

This image was shot for Flickr Friday's #CoffeeBreak theme. It was also shot for another challenge which is not yet open.

Lens

SMC Pentax-F 1:1.7 50mm wide open.

Lighting

One Pentax AF540FGZ is the wireless master, is wired to the camera using one of my DIY cable extenders. It is to the left of and a bit in front of the the aluminum cafietera. Another one, acting as the wireless slave. That one is positioned similarly, but relative to the stainless cafietera. Both strobes are operating at low power (-2.5).

Additionally sunlight is streaming across the table at 90° to the angle of the flashes.

The camera is positioned roughly splitting the angle of the sunlight and strobe light.

See the first comment for an image of the setup.

Pastels on textured paper.

Wish I'd made this one larger as adding colour was hard - especially on those tiny feet.
