Chrysanthemum Petals.
I liked the petals shapes on this image from the set I took for Macro Mondays so I decided to create a Black and White version to try and highlight these features.
The petals remind me a bit of upturned boat hulls or even nuns’ habits, or perhaps people chatting at a convention (I bottled out of titling it Convent Convention though ;) )

[Natural sidelight from window; tripod, remote release, VR off.
Processed conservatively in Lightroom to try and even out the tonal range.
Retouched in Affinity Photo to get rid of the bugs (see comments on previous image from this set!); gently sharpened with Clarity filter and Unsharp Mask.
Converted in Nik Silver Efex starting from the Fine Art preset and then tweaked a lot from there: aiming for a soft effect and glowing hoods, but keeping the range of greys.
Fairly strong but soft dark vignette.
Finally increased the canvas size and added thin black outline frame as a layer style with a grey shadow, equal all around, to give it a presentation look.]
