A sudden wave of inspiration delivered this one - I realised I had metrics for the number of lines of code I’d written over
a few periods, so I wrote a quick script to generate 80 column stand-in lines to represent this visually. It’s a lot more
than I thought, laid out like this!
I’m pretty happy with this one, since I finally got to use personal data without feeling violated by the process, and I even
used my IDE colour scheme for the lines. Were I to tackle this again I’d integrate the title into the first three columns
to avoid breaking up the rectangle, and add an actual line-count to the end of each day’s section.

Ein Coding Dojo ist ein Treffen, bei dem Entwickler gemeinsam an einer Programmieraufgabe arbeiten mit dem Ziel ihre Programmierfähigkeiten zu verbessern und Spaß zu haben.
Jeweils zwei Entwickler werden immer zusammen an einem Rechner arbeiten (angeschlossen am Beamer). Mit Hilfe von Pair Programming (wobei alle 5-7 Minuten das Paar (aus dem Publikum) gewechselt werden soll) und Testgetriebener Entwicklung wird eine Aufgabe erledigt. Das Ziel ist nicht die Aufgabe selbst, sondern die verschiedenen Fähigkeiten besser kennen zu lernen, die unter dem Überbegriff Clean Code Developer zusammengefasst sind. Die Aufgaben werden als Coding Katas bearbeitet.
In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Java-Kompetenzteam werde ich den ersten Termin moderieren. Ziel ist, diese Veranstaltung wöchentlich zu machen für die Interessierten, die dann im Hause sind.

Super fun test for Megan Goodacre's intriguing design; spent a good day pattern editing/proofing last week during spring break in the valley. Realizing a couple of testers have near finishing the body...I thought I have better start mine. Cast on yesterday afternoon on a 4-hour car ride, had the body finished shortly after I got home, then the sleeves this morning before the kids were up and me having to take ‘em to band practices etc--overall it took a little over 8 hours from start-to-finish. Of course, I had already knitted this “virtually” through pattern editing beforehand and have the pattern engraved into my head.
