Mexico City Paseo de la Reforma has a large number of statues and sculptures including this one.
Cocodrillo by Leonora Carrington was donated to the city in 2000.
The sculpture weighing five tons is 8.5 meters lone and at 4.5 meters high.
The sculpture originally was set in Chapultepec Park but in 2006 was moved to a prominent spot on Pareo de la Reforma.
British born Carrington spent her adult life in Mexico City and died here in 2011.
Carrington is one of the most celebrated 20th-century artists from Mexico City. and is noted as one of the longest-lived participants of the surrealist movement of the 1930s.

We are visiting El Museo José Luis Cuevas (The José Luis Cuevas Museum).
The museum is in the old Convent of Santa Inés, el Centro Histórico. The building was the convent's colonial era residential hall.
The museum showcases works of artist Cuevas, a leader of the 1950s Ruptura movement and the museum also houses temporary exhibitions plus a permanent collection.

This piece in bronze is "La Leyenda del Conejo y el Cocodrillo" by Alonso Chima - The Legend of the Rabbit and Crocodile made in 2018.
Formerly the dedicated bus for Cocodrillo Park, GC5605BN, a 1996 Irizar Century I was de-vinyled and working as the free bus to Sioux City on 17th March 2016. Neither the operator or chassis are clear, although I would hazard a guess at Maspalomas Bus and Scania. Pictured on Avenida de Cristobal Colon.(d16-0415)
Gros fan de the National je me suis naturellement intéressé à Clogs, le projet plus « jazz » (en fait c'est carrément plus « classique » que « jazz ») de Bryce Dessner et Padma Newsome (ce dernier ayant là écrit musique et paroles). En fait à y réfléchir ma rencontre avec the National sur la scène du Bowery Ballroom n'aura précédé que de 3 mois celle avec Clogs à Joe's Pub. Depuis j'ai tous les disques des 2 groupes mais je dois reconnaitre que l'univers de Clogs n'est pas toujours hyper facile d'accès. Aussi quand j'ai vu que sur celui là il y avait non seulement Matt et Aaron (de the National) mais aussi Shara Worden (de My Brightest Diamond que j'avais découvert sur Dark Was the Night) sur 6 des 10 titres et leur ami Sufjan Stevens, je me suis dit que celui là serait surement plus « pop » / facile. Que nenni ! Dès le premier morceau Cocodrillo dans lequel Shara chante à la Meredith Monk j'ai su que je m'étais trompé. Son chant donnera ensuite aux morceaux suivants des airs d'opéra (On the edge) ou de chansons religieuses The owl of love (j'aurais du dire mystique pour ne faire fuir personne) … avec un je ne sais quoi de médiéval. Seulement 2 instrumentaux cette fois comme l'entêtant et entrainant I used to do ou le plus calme To Hugo (qui avec le son du basson résument assez bien le son « Clogs »). Sur le très long et cuivré Red Seas on retrouve le chant aérien et lyrique de Padma (qu'on avait découvert sur Cherry Tree) pour un résultat qui sonne presque autant the National que Last Song avec Matt Berninger au chant. Bref au final un disque surprenant, doux et reposant pour les réveils et couchés en douceur, qui formalise sur disque une collaboration commencée sur scène avec the long count et qu'on rêve de voir traverser l'Atlantique un jour !

Playa Taquillo, en La Libertad, El Salvador, localizada después del Tunel, playa de alcantilados y q produz imensas olas en la marea alta como si fuesen geisers. Un gran espectáculo visual. De lejos la roca se parece a un cocodrillo.
Playa Taquillo no Departamento de La Libertad, El Salvador. Uma praia de rochas e q são erosionadas a milhares de anos e o choque das ondas (especialmente em maré alta) provoca uma espetacular cascata, jatos de agua para todo lado, um perigo para as camaras... mas um espetáculo imperdível.
Rocky beach of Taquillo on the Pacific Ocean, La Libertad, El Salvador. The shock of water against de rocks (specially during the high tides) creates an spectacular view with "small geysers like" starting in the fround and up for couple of meters. Beautiful show of mother nature.
