Like many other invertebrates cockroaches outgrow their shells and shed them. For a short period after shedding they will appear white.

ashleys cockroaches

Many years ago I visited a girlfriend who lived in Hollywood, with a lot of cockroaches. I expressed surprise when we saw one that was actually OUTside her apartment. She wryly suggested he was on a camping trip.

I thought trying something out of the ordinary will be nice.

We accidentally learned that if you leave wine residue in a glass, lots and lots of cockroaches get themselves stuck. I tried this experiment twice more, with successful results. Eloise wouldn't let me kill the first batch, and I didn't have the guts to kill the second and third batch myself. I just left them in the glass (and hoped that someone else killed them).

The perfect companion for any meal. Manny the roach is a barrel of laughs, but a bit of a lush! (Taken at a pub in Hong Kong while we were having a pint & eating a meal).

Dado que no podéis salir al campo , os muestro fotos del archivo de insectos , mariposas i bichitos encantadores .
