she waits... my dog is constantly waiting for my boyfriend (her favorite person ever) whenever he's elsewhere. in this photo, she's waiting for him to return from brushing his teeth. she's really adorable when she waits so patiently.

This is a photo I took awhile ago of our young 75% cocker spaniel/25% poodle mix puppy (AKA cockapoo), named Molly. She's looking right at the camera and you can see the reflection in her eyes!
My dog's ghost. The room was pretty much completely dark except for a desk lamp. I had the camera on a tripod with the shutter opened for approximately 10 seconds. 5 seconds into it, my dog decided to get up and walk away and this was the end product.
Portraiture #3 of 52
My goal with this photo was to give a good feeling for what this home was like in which the owners so lovingly breed cockapoos. Yes, the puppies of course are adorable :) but there is a huge responsibility in raising them for the first 8 weeks! Not always easy!
I had a couple of challenges here. One was that my subject really did not want her picture taken so I had to make it quick :) and the other was I didn't have the kit lens I thought I had. My macro is about the same size and weight, and I didn't check closely enough on the way out the door. I did have my 50 mm 1.8, so I used that for the shot. I placed Helen by the window with the pups, and managed to get a little depth with her husband holding a dog in the background. The photo was taken at 1/100, f 3.5, and ISO 1000.
Those little puppies will melt your heart! (One has already melted mine!)
