I can connect
Nothing with nothing.
The broken fingernails of dirty hands.
My people humble people who expect
Nothing.
At Nayland Rock Shelter in 1921, TS Eliot Wrote part 3 of
The Waste Land.
A walk on the beach during sunrise in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
It was a beautiful morning with no wind and on occasion dolphins could be seen swimming a little off shore.
Did they dry before the rain? No. :( My poor neighbour was seen running for her washing not long after I took this.... The white blob above the seawall, is an eider duck, photo bombing my image 😁😁😁

The beautiful town of Wivenhoe seen from across the River Colne.
From a time before Thomas Dolby, Lines were laid under the English Channel to Ostend, Belgium from this spot in Dumpton Gap, Broadstairs on the Kent coast in 1914.
Each day he wakes at the break of dawn, gather's his tools, fills the tank of the vessel, packs a lunch and his journey begins. Seeking to harvest his catch of day.
My 3rd winter living here, and this is the first snow I've seen! However, after this tiny shower, it melted a little bit, then froze... The whole village, and the VERY steep road down into it, is frozen solid sheet ice! Our postman had to park up and walk the half mile down today
"Often it's just a short swim from the shipwreck of your life to the island paradise of your dreams, assuming you don't drown in the metaphor."
Wrecked boat on Mersea Island named "Toujours", sadly it wasn’t to be!!!
A boat on blocks sits on a road not far from the water but far from seaworthiness on the coast of Maine.
“Sunsets are proof that no matter what happens, every day can end beautifully.” – Kristen Butler
I never get tired of seeing sunsets & boat silhouettes, another stunning end of the day at West Mersea in Essex.
In my back yard you might see a dog fetching a ball from the water. The simple pleasures in life. Just watching a dog running in and out of the water to retrieve a ball.
Is there anything more peaceful then taking in the quiet beauty of the setting sun? As the sun descends below the horizon, creating romantic shades of red and orange across the sky, the world has a chance to breathe in and rejuvenate.
Caught this beautiful sunset last week looking over the River Blackwater in West Mersea in Essex.
A lone twisted tree draped with moss and lichen stands in a field near the coast of Maine in winter.

Glorious reflection of the river front at Wivenhoe in Essex
“Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting.” – Richard Paul Evans
as the sun teeters on the brink of the horizon, its golden hues breathe magic into the iron lattice of a pathway in portixol's modest harbor. this isn't just a walkway; it's a corridor of time, capturing the essence of transition as day gives a slow nod to night. there's a solitary figure in the distance, perhaps a wanderer pondering the poetry of dusk, or maybe a local, steeped in the quietude of their regular passage. this place, where the sea's whispers meet the firmness of the land, becomes a canvas, the iron glowing like molten gold, reshaping a utilitarian structure into a spectacle of light and shadows. here is a moment of stillness, yet brimming with stories untold.
As you "sail into this Monday" keep this picture in your mind as a calm and refreshing reminder that we are.........."Too Blessed To Be Stressed"
This has always been a catchy phrase to me and a great reminder!

Some of you may remember this song! : )
I have a heap of collages that I've played with over the months, but never posted so I thought, given I'm in a bit of a "shooting lull" I'd bring some out of the closet :)
I went to Bellevue for the weekend and while my oldest did an online dance class I thought I’d take a wander about with my camera. Literally only got down the driveway and across the street but it was enough. Rain, drizzle, and fog makes for some moody images. Happy with these and I’ll be posting them soon. Take care all!!
