this male Lion had been in a fight with another male earlier that day. This huge male won and was seen with a female for a number of days ( see posted image in first comment box ).

The male that lost the fight over the mating rights was seen following the couple at a distance all the time. I have also posted an image of that one.

On my last day also the third male of the coalition was trailing the mating couple. On the image I have posted of that third lion a fresh injury is visible so more fighting had taken place.

Happy Caturday!

The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is a large cat native to Africa and central Iran. It is the fastest land animal, estimated to be capable of running at 80 to 128 km/h (50 to 80 mph) with the fastest reliably recorded speeds being 93 and 98 km/h (58 and 61 mph), and as such has several adaptations for speed, including a light build, long thin legs and a long tail.

The cheetah lives in three main social groups, females and their cubs, male "coalitions" and solitary males. While females lead a nomadic life searching for prey in large home ranges, males are more sedentary and may instead establish much smaller territories in areas with plentiful prey and access to females.

The cheetah is active mainly during the day, with peaks during dawn and dusk. It feeds on small- to medium-sized prey, mostly weighing under 40 kg (88 lb), and prefers medium-sized ungulates such as impala, springbok and Thomson's gazelles. The cheetah typically stalks its prey to within 60–70 m (200–230 ft), charges towards it, trips it during the chase and bites its throat to suffocate it to death. -

The cheetah occurs in a variety of habitats such as savannahs in the Serengeti, arid mountain ranges in the Sahara and hilly desert terrain in Iran. The cheetah is threatened by several factors such as habitat loss, conflict with humans, poaching and high susceptibility to diseases. In 2016, the global cheetah population was estimated at around 7,100 individuals in the wild; it is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. – Wikipedia

Male cheetahs will often group together in groups called coalitions. They usually group with brothers, but may also group with an existing group or other males that were the lone male in their litter. Female cheetahs, however, hunt alone with the exception of hunting with their own cubs.

Obama visits Buckingham Palace as protesters gather outside. London 24.05.2011

As U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle visited Buckingham Palace today to meet the Queen and later on attend a State banquet in his honour, a heavy policing and security operation took place involving uniformed, plain-clothed and armed police as well as US and UK Army and CIA operatives, as several large groups of protesters representing Libya, Iraq, Iran, Bahrain, Syria, the Stop The War Coalition (StWC) and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) gathered across the road from the Palace by Canada Gate to vigorously denounce duplicitous US foreign policy which sees the very dictators which the so-called Arab Spring is trying to remove being supported financially, politically and militarily by the Obama Administration with strong support from British Prime Minister David Cameron's government, as both leaders publicly mouth insincere, media-friendly platitudes about the need for democracy in the Arab regions.

Also amongst the protesters were protesters in orange jump-suits calling for the release from Guantanamo Bay of British muslim Shaker Aamer, who has been held without charge or trial for over nine years in the harshest of conditions in the notorious American military prison. All the other British detainees have now been returned home, having all been the victims of cruel and inhuman treatment at the hands of their US Military captors, yet Shaker Aamer remains.

Though President Obama made the closure of Guantanamo one of the central themes of his pre-election campaigns, and despite him having signed an Executive Order to close Guantanamo by January 2010 soon after becoming President, the Military prison remains very much open for business as usual, and remains a part of the continuing U.S. policy of illegal abduction, rendition, torture and indefinite detention without trial or due process in the so-called "War on Terror".

Today's protesters also called for the closure of Guantanamo Bay and the equally infamous CIA prison at Bagram Airbase in Iraq, and for the immediate release of all the detainees who have not been charged with a single offence despite being brutalised for years by the U.S.A., which seems to think that the Geneva Conventions don't apply to them.

There is a modified version of the blisterback named the punisher, it is used by pack commander chalv, the main modifications are the inclusion of two left ogre arms used for punching enemy mechs to death.

Their power combined is simply incredible.

Strong coalitions of male lions help to stable lion populations, as the males are able to hold on to their territories for long enough to ensure the survival of their cubs.

Following in line with previous coalition vehicles, the SV - 14 relies on heavy armour and other vehicles for protection.

Most suited for Urban fighting, the 14 can resist many man-portable tank busters. This is enjoyed greatly by assaulting soldiers who use the extra distance to better close with their targets.

While off the front lines, the SV - 14 performs roles as a supply mule and multi-purpose transport. Though the openness of Tarsin design allows for many additional roles.

"You know very well they've never put me out of action!" Last words of Commissar Vorch, before his command SV was slagged by a Ciritai Pylon during the siege of Kronus.
