A second generation F-unit offering for this week. Seen at Mimico on 23 March 1991 amid rows of GO commuter consists and stored equipment is VIA F40PH-2 combo 6457 and 6425 with a power car and set of conventional coaches used in Corridor service.

Found in a railway museum in Douglas, WY – some of the cars had access offering up this old view of travel accommodations from the early 1900’s as people moved West. I found the lamps interesting. You certainly don’t get headroom in airplanes of today!

I originally posted this in 2015, but I thought it needed more editing. It was a very gray day with an uninteresting sky. There were no buildings in the background, just gray sky. So I did a complete background replacement using a shot I'd gotten on the same street. I blurred the building with the Photoshop lens blur filter -- it was originally sharp.
Two men wait at a coach stop in an Outback town. We spoke, they were two hours early with a 17 hour ride ahead of them. Come early and get the best seats.

The weekend of March 5th/6th 2022 saw a big rail replacement operation centred on Woking and stretching out to Basingstoke, Guildford, Weybridge and Aldershot.
I didn't much spare time this weekend so my prime target was to snap Falcon Coaches Volvo B5TL / MCV eVoSeti LF71DKV, a bus which normally only sees school work.
In the hands of her mother, Amy, Addison Pervine is lifted out of the tub to be dried off after her Wednesday morning bath. Keeping Addi and her environment clean is a constant effort because she is greatly at risk from common illness. Because of her heart condition, we have to make sure she doesn't get sick. . . Any respiratory illness would cause hospitilization and could be fatal for her, said Amy Pervine.

The Shalford Junction-Petersfield blockade runs from 12-20/02/2022 with the vast majority of rail replacement services being operated by coaches. I snapped a few on the first day of the operation.

So impressive, a small exercise space, a motivated unit. I was a bit ashamed to capture their moment, but good things must be shared.
