Recently had to clean the apartment of a deceased live-in. She was a teacher in a nearby NYC elementary school, died of a heart attack and was found dead in her bedroom. This is one of three rooms (the others were worse), but I think this gives you the idea of the amount of junk she gathered over the years.

really, it's all much cleaner now. but this is a pretty accurate representation of my brain over the past month.

alonely in the dorm but for the ghost upstairs. reading Joyce and wondering what it means to forget the names of those closest. ha. ha-ha. sometimes it helps to be in love. one jug of wine, two vessels. it rained the other night and i sat on the concrete porch with my feet on the ice, and i pretended i was slipping. sometimes it doesn't help to be in love. good ol' Thom Street is rising up again like a child, like a mountain.
I'm not sure if I prefer this one in color or not. I've taken photos on monochrome negative film in here and this actually looks about the same. Film does have a higher dynamic range than digital, so I guess it makes sense.
Clutter has a way of returning to the guest room real fast. I take something out to use in a photograph...and then don't put it back!! If only...
