Con razón es tan difícil salir en hora por las mañanas

buried in a shockingly cluttered corner of the north chapel, nearly inaccessible except on stilts. You'd almost think that the church was ashamed of the monument; instead, they should be ashamed of the mess.

Please credit this photo bitjungle (with link) in the immediate vicinity of the image.

Partly to show scale, partly to indicate a certain amount of chaos.

The clutter-cairo demo application, flowers.

The various bits of street furniture that greet you as you leave the gardens at the South West corner of St Andrew Square, Edinburgh. Here's the same view with a little more context, and here it is on Google Streetview.

I should probably leave St Andrew Square alone and go bother some other part of Edinburgh, but really, this is pretty awful.

for Get Pushed 6 I was paired with Allison: (http://www.flickr.com/photos/snippets_from_suburbia/) who observed that I dislike disorganization and clutter, challenged me to "instead of something that pleases you, visually, photograph something that is visually displeasing, but photograph it in a visually pleasing way."

ODC theme -- clutter

This is part of someone's place that I pass on my way to town. This shows a bit of their many very large things (boats tractors old vehicles) cluttering up some of the acerage.

A glass boat in a glass case; a ceramic jug; a set of implements for cutting cheese (each labelled with a different type of cheese); some of the army of corn-dollies.

Books to be processed (added to the collection database, stamped, pocketed, barcoded, labeled, stickered, etc.).

???????

I like a cluttored background but an uncluttored background is the norm....theres only one way to decide.. FIGHT! Come on tell me what you prefer.

These are all of the bottles that I had in my dorm over a course of 10 weeks.

Internal note.

- this is the part of the NEED for clutter that I understood- that if things were not in sight, i would lose track of them.

- but- partly for the fun of it, i’ll list some of the stuff in this photo [ in the Flickr past, i could have used highlights for this. the new programming for Flickr not only doesn’t allow highlights any more: they have erased the ones, made in the past. alot of work went whoosh ! ]

CENTER:

- the big steel ring is a present from Marco.

- the arrow in the wall- which looks like it was shot through the ring is a present from Dave Evans, who made the arrow. the stick model airplane is there for fun.

- the VOTE FOR ME button- below the airplane- is from a Haight Ashbury, Digger event, where everyone was given a Vote For Me button as they came in. it is there to keep in in sight. i only have two left. ( i designed the silly button. )

- the coffee filter below the arrow is from Kelly Williamson and the stuff to the right of that is coffeepot and roller derby stuff from Kelly.

LEFT CENTER and lower left corner:

- two versions of a Braque painting- a Museum School project from Jan Cox to make a variation of a famous painting. the one above is a direct ( but damaged [ failed sizing ] ) copy of the original Braque painting, but only a detail of the upper right corner. below that is my color-varied copy.

- the flying model plane and the hand-powered rotors are there because i would lose them if they weren’t in view.

- [ another element of the memory problem is that if i find a better, more logical place to store something and I move it there, i lose it. ]

- a magazine comparison of paintings done at the same time by Monet and Renoir- very different. i treasure this and would lose it if i couldn’t see it.

- on the frig- a treasured photo of Malcolm X with Cassius Clay- a still from a movie. i haven’t been able to Google this photo. - again, i would lose it, if i could’t see it.

UPPER RIGHT CORNER:

- Asian cow bell. many old American flags from the Pennsylvania house.

- an image of Rachel Maddow, styled after the Obama image, fashioned by her staff graphics people. it has the key word, INFRASTRUCTURE, below it. Rachel ( and i ) feel the repairing our infrastructure would solve our employment problem, but right wing forces are against it and don’t even repair the bridges in their own districts. (?)

- a little plastic connector that looks like the male symbol. i like it. it was made to hang a tag from the neck of a wine bottle.

- the memory problem goes way back. it is not just the memory failings of elders, though those have been added on, i suppose.

- one of the CDCs list of eleven major symptoms of CFS is memory problems

August 7, 2019-

I didn’t mention the upper leftest grey square. That is a direct xerox of the SEA WOLF shirt that Ann made for me.

It says, “Cochrane- Son of Sea Wolf”.

Also the pipe and wood rig that the paper towel is hung on is a cannon, powered by firecrackers that shoots marbles.

It will make a quarter inch dent in a redwood fence.

Flickr note-

- Flickr used to allow the user to add highlights to a photo- little squares around parts of a photo and floating text to go with them.

- Flickr not only doesn’t allow highlights any more: they have erased the ones, made in the past.

- in my case, it damaged the quality of my pages on the new boats in the Americas Cup. the parts of the boats that lift them out of the water are hard to see. the highlights helped with that.

- not only are the highlights gone, now, but i refer to them in the lower text and it no longer make sense.

- that’s a lot of work that went whoosh ! not cool.

I'm packing up my beautiful home this month, so of course I had to take photos before I forgot why I loved it so much.

Opened the drawer, took the picture.
