Here's Holly, a fellow newcomer, at the Fashion Show.

I've been waiting and waiting for this thistle to bloom. I have one "volunteer" in my yard--it surprised me by growing near the area where I hang a bird feeder. But this weekend the thistle was knocked to the ground by a major thunderstorm. Now I'll have to prop it back up--it was over four feet tall. I took this shot the evening before the storm.
