When you admire a street mural, you should go close to it like the kid. Or you should watch it from across the street like me?

Wish you a good day!

Close-up of frosted grass. Other wild small plants are visible between the grass. The photo was taken early in the morning in the Terheijdense Binnenpolder.

The Binnenpolder in the outskirts of the Dutch village of Terheijden (municipality of Drimmelen) is a peat meadow area originally created between the 13th and 15th century by cutting peat. In 2006 and 2007, the nutrient-rich upper layer was removed in order to restore the original biotope. The 120 ha nature reserve is managed by Staatsbosbeheer.

R761 arrives into Ballarat Station with a 707 Operations tour from Melbourne (via North Geelong). As R707 was out for repairs at the time of the tour, Steamrail hired out R761 to haul the train. The 707 Operations trip was a Mothers Day special to Ballarat for those passengers wishing to ride on the Steamrail Victoria shuttles to/from Sulky.

Over the first weekend in May, Steamrail Victoria ran a number of shuttles between Ballarat and Sulky as part of the Ballarat Heritage Weekend. In the theme of heritage, to accompany Y112 (which resides at Ballarat East) they chose veteran locomotive D3 639. The two locomotives combined to work six return shuttles each day. As a nod to the photographers, the locomotives were both turned on the Saturday evening to allow a change of shot on the Sunday. The weekend proved to be a huge success.

Back into the Mer Bleue area for this morning's walk.

Here I'm watching two mountain bikers approaching. When bicycles or joggers get close I have to sit and wait for them to pass.

I'm pretty good at observing the rules on the trail. Most of the time I have a lot of freedom.

A close up image of one of the regions in the Small Magellanic Cloud that I planned on imaging after noticing this (and a few other objects) in my wide field image of the SMC which I exposed about a month ago.

This frame contains NGC346, NGC371 and NGC395.

This bi-color image was exposed through a Celestron C8 at f6.3 (1280mm focal length) with a QHY268M camera and the 2 channels were integrated through Baader 7nm H-Alpha and OIII filters.

Total integration time for this image was 4 hours and 10 minutes.
