Shooting locally I wanted to catch the last colours of autumn differently and this was before Storm Arwen knocked the last traces of the season into winter. I liked the feathery edge of the small leaves.
Another zoom burst. I like the colour pallet of this - the almost purple of the tree gives some depth.
Leon stood holding his climate sign, beside him, his mother, holding one of her own: There is no PLANet B. This moment reflects more than just a protest it shows how activism can become a shared language between generations. Studies suggest that children whose parents engage in civic life or activism are significantly more likely to grow into engaged citizens themselves. This image captures a powerful truth: change begins at home.
Outside the Finnish Parliament, members of Isovanhemmat vaativat ilmastotekoja (“Grandparents Demand Climate Action”) stood proudly, wearing reflective vests and holding banners in Finnish, Swedish, and Spanish. Their message was clear: climate action cannot wait, not for themselves, but for the generations to come. With decades of life experience behind them, these seniors are raising their voices to protect the world their grandchildren will inherit.
