I was going to Yosemite when google maps showed alternative route for fastest arrival and it took me to this different route that had breathtaking views of the windmill.

On our trip to Denmark this summer my oldest son was constantly saying: "look daddy, windmill!"
Yes, there are plenty of windmills in Denmark. Here are some out in the sea just outside Copenhagen.
This week's Covid-19 Adventure and Picnic to us to Shinish Creek Wind Farm. The farm is about 16 kilometres on the Trout Main Forestry Road and Southeast of Osprey Lake. These turbines are 100 metres (330 ft) tall and have 55 metres (180 ft) blades that can fling ice up to 350 metres during the winter months.

The Northwind Bangui Bay Project is located at the municipality of Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Located at the north-west tip of Luzon island, the wind turbines face the sea from where the wind blows towards the land. Its location along the shore is optimal in removing windbreaks and has a terrain roughness of 0. The site is free of any trees and vegetation, and stretches approximately 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) long and 100 metres (330 ft) wide. The area is undeveloped and uninhabited making it ideal as a site and poses no threat to the environment.

In trying to get better at photography, I've decided to do a little project documenting the neighbourhood where I live. Not necessarily for posting here, but for myself, and if we ever move away from here. I always wondered if I could get a beautiful image of the ugly power station. With it's dam, it essentially widens the stream into a mini lake, making it possible to go swimming there in the summer.
You be the judge, but I feel a little mist made a lot of difference.

Where engineering meets poetry: Grønvollfoss Power Plant stands quietly by the Tinnåa river, its dam mirrored in a glass-like surface. Morning mist drapes the hills, softening the industrial lines into a serene composition. This hydroelectric station is part of Norway’s renewable energy backbone, harnessing the power of water to light up homes while preserving the harmony of nature.
Fun Fact
Grønvollfoss kraftverk was commissioned in 1933 and remains an important hydroelectric facility in Telemark. Norway generates over 90% of its electricity from hydropower, making scenes like this a symbol of sustainable energy.
