The cleanest car I could find at the time, and I'll drive it until I can afford a cleaner one. There must be a way to get the technology I studied in college at the start of the 1990's to the marketplace.

This regulation is long overdue. By allowing this exception, the EPA can
once again become part of the solution.
This #HQHolden ute was photographed early at the United Motorsport Society t last weekend, before the rows filled out and before the light went harsh. You can see it in the shadows on the ground and the shape in the sky. That short window where everything still has depth.
This ute has lived a few different lives. Originally something very different, later converted to LPG at one point, then reworked again before finally landing where it is now. You can see that history, I think this is its final form.
The paint is consistent across every panel, including the underside of the bonnet. No mismatched tones, no corners cut. Bonnet hinges and hardware are finished properly, and the bay itself is tidy without being sterile. A carbureted V8 sits centrally with a large chrome air cleaner. Red ignition leads are routed cleanly, not draped. Brake booster and master cylinder are chrome and mounted neatly on the firewall. Wiring and hoses are clipped and trimmed with intent.
Inside, the cabin stays functional. A sports steering wheel and a prominent tacho dominate the driver’s view. Nothing ornamental, nothing unnecessary. It’s set up to be driven.
Editing on this set was deliberate. Blacks were pushed to bring the ute forward and let the sky do some of the heavy lifting. The aim wasn’t to soften anything, but to give the car weight and presence in the frame. Low angles were chosen to suit the stance and the proportions. This ute doesn’t need exaggeration.
