Green Change hosted a Clean Transportation Meetup at Good Earth in Mill Valley on July 23, 2019, to discuss how we can fight climate change by using different modes of transportation: ride clean vehicles, use public transit, drive less and walk or bike more.
This free community meetup was moderated by Fabrice Florin and featured short talks by these guest speakers:
• Stephanie Moulton-Peters - Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM)
• Carleen Cullen - Drive Clean Marin
• Karen Wiener - The New Wheel
• Wendi Kallins - Sustainable Marin
• Patrick Seidler - Wilderness Trail Bikes
We presented these climate actions that people can take to use clean transportation:
• Get an Electric Car
• Get an Electric Bike
• Take Public Transit
• Drive Smart
• Ride a Bike
• Walk More
After the talks, we discussed our personal experiences about using clean transportation in our own lives, connecting experts with people who are just getting started.
This free community event was sponsored by Good Earth Natural Foods and took place in the new community room at their Mill Valley store. GreenChange.net will host more climate action meetups in this room in fall 2019.

you need to work the WD-40 into the mechanisms to really clean it up
This stuff seriously rocks. www.wd40.com.au/WD-40.html I am pretty sure it is an Australian product.
Check out this link for all of the things the makers suggest it can do. www.wd40.com.au/List/list.html
I had to buy some today at Bunnings. My emergency kit for diving was actually needed today and everything was seized up with rust. I had been keeping the equipment in a little black folder and it lives in the bottom of my dive bag. As I throw in wet dive gear etc, it was getting soaked with salty water. I wasn't washing this out when cleaning my equipment afterwards.
So a big clean is in progress. I dug out an old water proof container for future storage and protection, and have set to cleaning. There are more shots on here showing u the grotty "before" shots of my gear, and I will post more tomorrow tagged with "WD-40" so you can see how well it works.

Why are we here? You know, planet earth, the grind of the mundane, the exhilaration of love and birth, the dread of what will be tomorrow, the roller-coaster ride of eternity.
What's it all about?! It's all about cleaning your mess.
If you really understand that everything is Light and if you really understood that the only thing that creates separation between us and the Light is the garbage we have inside of us, then the willingness to look at the garbage means the willingness to expose it to the Light.
The second the Light sees it, it burns it out. It's like a laser. The problem is, we don't always have the willingness to see what we do that separates us from the Light.
Why? Because the second there's a willingness - a desire - to let the Light in, we let the Light in. And the second the Light comes into contact with darkness, as I said, it burns it out. Our Opponent knows that. It's its job to keep us from connecting with our source.
All you have to do is search. The willingness to look is more important than the actual finding.
The problem is we don't even look. On a practical level, let's say we're going through apathy, depression, mourning process, not enough money, [fill in your own pain.] It's the nature of the conscious mind to run from pain, to subjugate it, so we don't fully embrace the emotions.
That's the reason they stay.
We need to apply the proactive formula process to our emotions and all the negative 'stuff' we have inside. We can't let go of something until we are first holding it, right?
don't be afraid to hold your garbage because when you do, you can let go of it! To put it in physical terms, you've got to pick something up before you can drop it. Be willing to embrace yourself this week - specifically those difficult, hard-to-handle emotions. When you are feeling angry or sad or lost, allow it to be there. Even speak to your emotions. What do you want to tell me?
Listen to your emotions like you are listening to a child. With patience. With understanding. With compassion. With love.

Today felt like a long day, but really it wasn't all that bad. My mover brought the rest of my belongings, motorcycle included! So we took about an hour and unloaded the truck, shortly after, he and i went out to get a bite. He's a really cool guy to chat with. As a mover, he's been all over the US and Canada and had a lot of stories to tell. I'm done for. Have a lot more work to do tomorrow so it's bedtime.

The turtles and the fish know where to find the local cleaning station, where turtles can come to have their shells cleaned by obliging local tropical fish. Here two enormous green sea turtles, each about five or six feet long, loiter in the cleaning station, surrounded by colorful cleaners. Taken with available light, snorkeling off Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Every couple of years or so, I shave my goatee off -- I grow it right back, but it's just sort of oddly interesting to see my chin for a few days.
