Lazy Yellow Moon Coming Up Tonight, Shining Through The Trees.
Had fun on this one, have a great Thursday, be back tonight to get caught up!!
In the darkness there`s a circle of light. With bending and twisted branches in which the light comes through.
What wonderment it is to know whats on the other side of that light.
Is it "Destiny,God"?
How glorious it will be.
Taken at a friends house, there is no treatment or anything, straight from the camera.
Have a great weekend my friends.

Somehow, I don't think Greg would've had any chance even if the town wasn't unincorporated.
Midland were making this model of Class A motorhomes from 1975 to 1981 from 25 to 31 feet (and also Class Cs on Dodge and Ford chassis).
From a card I thought I had accidentally erased -- can't talk and change cards at the same time! But, in fact, I hadn't and I found it this morning. I don't know what these berries are.
It is May 10, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as photographer Harvey Uecker captures the first of the world famous Milwaukee Type Class A Atlantics being prepped for service, after being delivered to The Milwaukee Road from the American Locomotive Company. Here, the number 1 shows it's boiler front while sitting inside the roundhouse. A close look through the vent holes in the skirting reveal the location of the brass bell.

Lets take a trip back to December 1937 and take in the sight of an afternoon Hiawatha charging up to the beautiful field-stone depot in Oconomowoc Wisconsin. Many times dad has described this scene to me from a few years later than this painting represents, but his memory of The Milwaukee Road's grand entrance into the station eighty one years later is still a great story to hear.

While going through my collection from Butch Schwanke, I came across this slide. Here we find a high stepping Milwaukee Road Class A Atlantic, crossing over from the southbound main to the northbound main at Rondout Illinois in the early 1940's. Oh to be able to go back and witness these fine machines speeding up and down The Milwaukee Road.

Amigos date back to the early to mid 1970s and were powered by Dodge. I can't find much more info now, but I did always enjoy seeing them on the road (or the one that always parked at Annett's Mono Village near Bridgeport, CA, every summer through the mid 90s).

On April 11, 1937, the American Locomotive Company held open house to show off the latest in locomotives, and Milwaukee Type Atlantic number 4 was part of that celebration. The 4 was fresh from the paint shop, with the Hiawatha Indian adorning the tender and HIAWATHA nameplate on the flank of the locomotive. The 4 was delivered to The Milwaukee Road in Milwaukee, Wisconsin shortly after, where it would receive finishing touches. In this photo by an unknown photographer 87 years ago today, we see the 4 spot getting steamed up outside of the Milwaukee Shops. The HIAWATHA nameplate on the flank of the locomotive has been replaced with a CHIPPEWA name plate for it's duties between Chicago and Milwaukee, along with service on the recently inaugurated Chippewa Hiawatha. In the cab of the 4 Spot, you can see the engine tender keeping an eye on water levels, steam pressure among his other duties, along with what appears to be some top brass on scene for the initial firing of one of the worlds most famous streamlined steam locomotives. The cost of the final Milwaukee Type Atlantic was $109,230. The number 4 is being held in place by wooden wheel blocking while being fired for the first time, while the company brass inspects her, along with other facets of the area. Had the 4 Spot survived, she would be 87 years old today on her first day of service for The Milwaukee Road, but retirement came in June, 1951.
I took the liberty of meticulously bringing color to the beautiful Atlantic for this posting, although the original I have is a darkroom processed black and white image.

Miami is a seaport city at the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Florida and its Atlantic coast. As the seat of Miami-Dade County, the municipality is the principal, central, and the most populous city of the Miami metropolitan area and part of the second-most populous metropolis in the southeastern United States.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Miami's metro area is the eighth-most populous and fourth-largest urban area in the U.S., with a population of around 5.5 million.
Miami is a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade. In 2012, Miami was classified as an Alpha−World City in the World Cities Study Group's inventory. In 2010, Miami ranked seventh in the United States in terms of finance, commerce, culture, entertainment, fashion, education, and other sectors. It ranked 33rd among global cities. In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Miami "America's Cleanest City", for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets, and citywide recycling programs.
According to a 2009 UBS study of 73 world cities, Miami was ranked as the richest city in the United States, and the world's fifth-richest city in terms of purchasing power. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America" and is the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.
Miami has the third tallest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises. Downtown Miami is home to the largest concentration of international banks in the United States, and many large national and international companies. The Civic Center is a major center for hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries.
For more than two decades, the Port of Miami, known as the "Cruise Capital of the World", has been the number one cruise passenger port in the world. It accommodates some of the world's largest cruise ships and operations and is the busiest port in both passenger traffic and cruise lines.
Metropolitan Miami is the major tourism hub in the American South, number two in the U.S. after New York City and number 13 in the world, including the popular destination of Miami Beach.
