Belt line yard job decides to tie down for the day with the heavy amount of snow coming down in the Hampton roads area. NPBL 5260 was left out on the main yard lead waiting for a new crew to resume work.
NB01 seen here coming of the beltline on to the NS main in South Norfolk near Liberty street on a cold December morning with 5260 taking the cut today into Portlock.
Chesapeake & Albemarle makes it way down south to make the Edenton turn with 3557 leading longhood forward. Quite a rare sight for C&A, only reason this was done was due to 502 needing its 90 day inspection.

My stomping grounds from an early young railfan is here in NPBL’s Berkeley yard. Standing proud on the Westend of the yard is NPBL 5260 staring right at CSX 96 which is still with us at the time of making this post.
Chesapeake and Albemarle is tied down for the week in Chesapeake with the 502 leading. The engines wait until Friday for the route back down south.

The X-bike (adventure bike): When I built this bike, I envisioned days at least this diverse. Miles of self support country gravel with 40mph descents, spinning up 20% ascents, turning the big ring at 20mph on stretches of asphalt, interspersed with class 4 tracks or MTB trails linking it all together. So I set out to build a bike that could do it all and leave a smile on my face. There is no bike that can do it all. On class 4 gravel (or single track) a mountain bike is better and on the tarmac a road bike is better. By no means was this the hardest day I'd imagined -it was about all I could take after 2 months of flatland leisure rides- but it was a sampler of everything that is all-road adventure biking. Carrying a self sufficient load of food, water, clothing and tools to cover any type of terrain. This bike literally handled everything I threw at it without a whimper and it did it with the precision I expected while designing it.

The Bucyrus Erie Class 3 Dragline sits in the Lions Park at the entrance to Coleambally. One of 4 imported to Australia in 1935 from the USA to excavate the main channels in the Murray Valley. Following the completion of the Mulwala Canal they were "walked" from Deniliquin to Coleambally in 1958, thats 161kms at 3kph. On completion of the Coleambally Irrigation Area in 1978 it was moved to the Lions Park and is still in working order.

I'm reasonably confident that the train loco is a BR Standard 82xxx Class 3 2-6-2T and is believed to be at Sidmouth - c.1957.
According to www.semgonline.com/coach/sets.html coach set 13 doesn't exist, so whether this was a temporary lash up, or just an omission, I cannot say. The nearer coach appears to be number S2601S - see also comments from 21c101 and Glen Wood below.
