A walk through the dingy bylanes of slums, which cover a vast expanse of area in Mumbai, now has a positive feel when one sees those dark and dull houses looking all colourful and vibrant.
The splash of colorful hues on slums is all thanks to efforts of city-based artist and social worker Rouble Nagi's Musaal Mumbai project.
Dhobi Ghat - Mumbai‘s 140-year-old, open-air laundromat where it is estimated that each day over half a million pieces of clothing are sent there from hotels, hospitals, and homes to be washed, dried, folded and returned! At first glance Dhobi Ghat seems chaotic. But there is order in this chaos. Washermen called dhobis wash clothes and hang them out to dry in a manner that optimizes both time and space. Each article has a code written on its back that allows the correct piece of laundry to get back to its owner. This system is amazingly efficient and one of the main reasons for Dhobi Ghat ’s popularity.
For travel problems related to the pandemic and therefore the inability to take new photos, I am reviewing some images taken in May 2019 in Milan in the residential and commercial district of Citylife. I hope you like it.

CityLife is a residential, commercial and business district situated a short distance from the old city centre of Milan, Italy; it has an area of 36.6 hectares (90 acres).
The development is being carried out by a company controlled by Generali Group, that won the international tender for the redevelopment of the historic neighborhood of Fiera Milano with an offer of €523 million. The project is designed by famous architects Zaha Hadid, Arata Isozaki and Daniel Libeskind.
The project involves the construction of three skyscrapers, with dedicated areas for offices, stores, restaurants and services. The luxury residential area will cover about 164,000 m2 (1,770,000 sq ft), with around 1,300 apartments (housing about 4,500 people). In addition, more than 50% of the available area, 170,000 m2(1,800,000 sq ft) are dedicated to green spaces. There will also be underground parking space for around 7,000 vehicles

Cities are growing fast. By 2050, two-thirds of the world’s population will live in urban areas. As a result cities are expanding their footprint at an alarming rate, putting habitat and access to food and water at risk.
