A miniature! If you’re like me, you’ll need to put on your glasses to appreciate this!
I took it with a 75-300mm lens from some distance away. These friends are gathered under the warning sign at the end of the jetty at Bearskin Neck, Rockport Massachusetts.
I couldn’t really see what they were doing, but it looked like they were having fun!

The stone circle of Stoke Flat on Froggatt Edge. Made of small stones typical of circles found in the Peak District.
Gah - really stressful afternoon - glad to be home at last.
More slinky fun - this time with the Lumix. The flash created some interesting shadows.
I experimented with freezing the flowers in different containers before adding them into the larger container for freezing. I can imagine this being an easier way to create compositions with structure and interest. Again color management is my biggest challenge when editing.

We are in a deep freeze right now but the sun has been out so might as well take advantage of the sun while stuck indoors and photograph oil and water.

The story behind this photo:
I was walking home on Sunday afternoon when I came across this puddle of water beneath the block opposite to mine. I could see the reflection of my block very clearly in the puddle due to the direction of the light at that particular point in time.
I have always wanted to take a reflection shot and thus I hurried up to grab my camera. My vase of cut flowers was by the doorway and I decided to grab this stalk of Gerbera as well.
I tried out several shots with the Gerbera placed at different positions and shot from multiple angles. Coincidentally, it then started to drizzle and I was finally able to capture this shot of the reflection of my block and the Gerbera in addition to the concentric wavefronts produced by the rain drops on the puddle of water. I named the photo 'Circles of Life' as I hope that this photo is able to subtly represent the life within the housing block community.
The Tomnaverie Stone Cirlce near Tarland, Aberdeenshire, is thought to be about 5000 years old and the stones do form a perfect circle. To give a sense of distance, Lochnagar can be seen in the distance if you're to zoom in and view large.

I don't think that you will see a Dahlia in such a perfect circle as this one from my friends garden.
