on the streets of palma, a fleeting moment becomes a frame within a frame. the young woman, vibrant and alive, stands unknowingly with a timeless face watching over her. it’s a dance of eras—youth and nostalgia meeting under the mediterranean sun, captured in black and white. the light carves stories, while shadows hold secrets.
at the city beach of palma, just before the sun slipped below the horizon, she stood with a selfie stick in hand. for thirty minutes, she turned in slow circles, filming herself against the setting sun. over and over again, as if rehearsing for an audience that wasn’t there. the sky, painted in shades of silver and grey, played its quiet role, indifferent to the performance. it felt absurd, almost theatrical. and so i captured her – a silhouette caught between the ocean and a moment that will never repeat itself.

A regular photography workshop is what I thought it would be last Saturday. However, SPS, aka Satinder Pal Singh Kalra Sir, had a surprise for the delegates with an innovative life-size projection backdrop workshop. Bringing the world for the model did not sound like an exaggeration when he said so. We never went into the vintage-style room that you see in the background. It was projected as the backdrop with the elegant model posing for the students.
