I participated in an artshow just after cinco de mayo. It was a time of a lot of really idiotic talk about Mexico, so I thought I should paint something that expressed my feelings about Mexco.

For Cinco De Mayo, a ballet folklórico company performed at our school--what a great opportunity for the kids!! I got lots of cute pictures of the kids too, but since I'm a teacher I will not be posting them.

When I saw the ladies' costumes, I immediately thought of these beautiful photos from Jesús.

we had a cinco de mayo celebration at work today. complete with handmade tamales, ranchero beans, and of course margaritas!

and yes, those are shot glasses. we each took a shot of tequila.

they even had a band!
