El Cid, who lived in the 11th century, is known as the national hero of Spain. He is remembered as a fierce champion of Christian Spain against Muslim and particularly Almoravid forces during the early years of the Reconquista and as the embodiment of knightly honour.

Entrevista con Celeste Cid y Damian De Santo.

The El Cid is a historic Los Angeles diner theater restaurant and nightclub that started out as a movie theater opening in 1900, converted into a restaurant diner theater in 1961 this famous flamenco nightclub was the home to one of my all time favorite flamenco guitarists Gino D'Auri who sadly passed away in 2007............ if you want to hear some of his incredible music check this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fngn9ovJGRY

The El Cid is a venue for all sorts of amazing entertainment and here is a link to their website
