There is something about simplistic photos that just captures my heart. Perhaps it is just the reminder that sometimes in "quiet" or simplistic there is a strength, one that never needs to be explained .. it is just there. . Regardless I just love it .. :). Hope any of that makes sense.

Þingvallakirkja is located where the Althing parliamentary general assembly met between 930 and 1798. The church itself dates back to 1859.
Paoay Church, is the Roman Catholic parish church of the municipality of Paoay, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines. Completed in 1710, the church is famous for its distinct architecture highlighted by the enormous buttresses on the sides and back of the building. In 1993, the church was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as one best examples of the Baroque Churches of the Philippines.

Schloss Berlepsch, Berleipse, Berlepse, Berleiffen, ist eine dreiflügelige Anlage mit Binnenhof und Park etwa 400 Meter nordöstlich des Witzenhausener Ortsteiles Hübenthal in Hessen. Das Schloss liegt nur wenige Hundert Meter von der Landesgrenze zu Niedersachsen und südwestlich des Friedländer Ortsteiles Mollenfelde des Landkreises Göttingen und des Neu-Eichenberger Ortsteils Hermannrode im Werra-Meißner-Kreis.

This is the church of Nesseby. Nesseby is a small town in the far northeast of Norway. We travled there last January (2020) coming from the finnish border and passing this small town with the church just besides the fjord. That day we had no time to drive to the church but we swear to stop there when leaving the area of Varanger.
When we left the area of Varanger we started early in the morning and when we arrived at Nesseby it was completely dark (it was the arctic night) So I used my Tripod to shoot this photo and tried several adjustments. The only light was this from the Church itself. It was cold, and snow started to fall like hell and we were in a hurry to leave because we wanted to go to the northcape this day and this are several hundreds of kilometer within new snow.

Comrie Parish Church, designed and built in 1881 by George T Ewing. Comrie is a village (Just over 2000 population) in the county of Perthshire, Scotland.
Holy Hill is located in southeast Wisconsin, on the highest elevation in this part of the state. Situated on 435 acres of rural countryside.
The first church in Lusowo in this place was built in 1244. According to the oldest documents, it was a wooden church. A historic event was the establishment of a parish in Lusowo on July 15, 1288. Over the years, the wooden church has been damaged. The new temple was consecrated in 1499. It has undergone several renovations. The present appearance of the church dates from 1913 - 1916. The Gothic chancel with a stellar vault and a rood arch has remained from the old 15th century church. It is the chapel of the new church dedicated to St. Jadwiga and St. James the Apostle.

Pierwszy kościół w Lusowie w tym miejscu wybudowano w 1244 roku. Jak podają najdawniejsze dokumenty był to drewniany kościół. Wydarzeniem historycznym było utworzenie w Lusowie parafii w dniu 15 lipca 1288 roku. Z biegiem lat drewniany kościół uległ zniszczeniu. Nową świątynię konsekrowano w 1499 roku. Ulegała ona kilkakrotnym renowacjom. Obecny wygląd kościoła pochodzi z roku 1913 - 1916. Ze starego XV wiecznego kościoła pozostało gotyckie prezbiterium z gwiaździstym sklepieniem i łukiem tęczowym. Stanowi ono kaplicę nowej świątyni pod wezwaniem św. Jadwigi i św. Jakuba Apostoła.
