These flowers were in a vase on the sideboard. The light was pouring through the window onto them. I chose a macro focus to show one flower with an especially nice colour glowing in the sunshine.

The ichimonji chrysanthemum, the only single petal chrysanthemum in the chrysanthemum family, is used as the The Imperial Seal of Japan. It is one of the national seals and also the emblem used by the Emperor of Japan and by the members of the Imperial Family.
