Had this idea for a picture yesterday but it didn't exactly come out the way I envisioned in my head. Firstly I couldn't get a high enough perspective to get a clear view of both lanes of the street. Would have wanted the eastwards lane (red lights) to be more distinctive from the other and the curve of the outbound lane to be more visible. But there wasn't a whole lot of room to maneuver on that ridge where this tree is located. Should have tried with the drone, except I can't do long exposures with it. Also, the traffic just isn't what it used to be. I guess people are more organized now and just do online shopping. Oh well. I tried.

this is the tree in my town's center square.. wanted to see if i could get some good bokeh shots, but only had a few minutes to play around.. i liked how bright the glow was around my figure from the whole dispaly of lights.. i never thought to try night shots because of my lack of equipment..but i am inspired to play some more..

Southport’s Christmas Tree is lit up and looking good as it changes colour. This is the third year of having a modern take on the tree. You can walk through the centre of the tree into the arcade between the Town hall and The Atkinson Gallery.
