This sculpture that the lake made on the shore was quite striking!
Wishing you all a happy Saint Nicholas Day. May your shoes be filled with delights.

This is how it's gonna go...when I am sure we are clear, you are gonna slowly lower your hands and pop the power packs out of that pair of Heaters you're packin'. Then you and I are gonna take a little stroll, draw no attention, just two old friends havin' a nice time.
Then I get what I came here for and I'm out of here, and you...? You get to keep on livin'. Good deal huh? Now let's get moving, I'm not gonna insult your brain, you know what I came for...
Choose your path wisely, this path was an easy one to follow...
Hope your all well and safe, Spring is saving my heart right now...

Next morning I woke up, fresh and well rested - and was so happy! It was just a dream, what a relief!
We went out for a walk again and the day was mild and soft. But something was different; I was different. I felt as if I almost could hear whispers in the air, though I could not understand what they were saying.

For the Macro Monday challenge "Tradition" (December 20th 2021)
I suppose it has become a tradition of sorts. We have both our birthdays and wedding anniversary in December, and it made quite a headache when choosing presents. So some years ago we decided to start collecting original art works created by artists we admired and enjoyed. So far we have hand-blown glass, hand-printed photographs, and this year we've added a few miniature hand-turned ceramic pots and vases. These are truly tiny - the ones I used here are all under 3" at the broadest point. They are individually made and glazed and perfect for macro photography!! 😊 (There's a shot of all 3 in the first comment field. The necks of the bottles are about 1" tall)
HMM!! and have a lovely festive week ahead!

You're my always
You're my forever
You're my reality
You're my sunshine
You're my best times
You're my anomaly
And I'd choose you
In a hundred lifetimes
I'd choose you
In a hundred worlds
I'd find you...
And I'd say, "I do"
For the rest of my life
With all that I have, I do
And I will
When the sky is falling
I promise you I'm all in,
No turning back.
Every day
Every moment
Every breath you take...
I choose you...

Yes, these trees really do exist in the Appalachian Mountains and really are these colors at a special time

“...to love you in silence…
For in silence I find no rejection,
I choose to love you in loneliness…
For in loneliness no one owns you but me,
I choose to adore you from a distance…
For distance will shield me from pain,
I choose to kiss you in the wind…
For the wind is gentler than my lips,
I choose to hold you in my dreams…
For in my dreams, you have no end.”

Her life was never perfect. She always did her best to please everyone, even at the cost of her own happiness. This would in the end be a grave mistake. She knows now to never sacrifice her happiness for someones enjoyment. In the end she learned the hard way. She is not sad or hurt by the actions others took upon her. She was just disappointed in her self for allowing it to go own for so long. Her happiness would be her own. She would only do things that would never sacrifice her dignity, pride, happiness, and love. This was her and hers alone. The select few she would choose to open up to she knew were and would be wort it. Even if in the end it all shatters . You can love a thousands times over again, you can break even more. Its how you get up and move on with your life that makes or breaks you.

Always in the big woods when you leave familiar ground and step off alone into a new place there will be, along with the feelings of curiosity and excitement, a little nagging of dread. It is the ancient fear of the Unknown, and it is your first bond with the wilderness you are going into.
